Very pleasant and helpful landlord.The accommodation is a renovated mansion.The breakfast is very good, lots of homemade and family atmosphere.

Good hotel.

Very welcoming host - made lots of recommendations for dinner and a lovely breakfast.  Good location as only 5-10mins in the car to Bolougne-Sur-Mer centre so lots of choices for evening meal.
With the house being old, it is quite noisy, particularly from rooms above.  This would be our only slightly negative comment...

Great 1 night stop on-route to Southern France

We stayed at this wonderful Chateau B and B en route from the south of France back to the UK. The building is wonderful. Very French lovely large rooms and high ceilings. The gardens are lovely. Our bedroom was very spacious as was our ensuite bathroom that had just been re-furbished. The bed was large and very comfortable. The dining room and breakfast were excellent with home-made preserves and croissants and a choice of different breads. We could also have ham and cheese if we wished. Katie made us very welcome and she also welcomed our dog. Highly recommended.

Very impressive

A lovely old house set back from the road in charming gardens.  The hostess makes you feel very welcome and is extremely helpful. Katy recommended a local restaurant which was well worth a visit and she had lots of information about places of interest.  She speaks very good English which is helpful when your French is as poor as mine.  We had a beautiful room on the top floor, a lot of stairs but worth it  Check the availability of rooms on the lower floors if this would be a problem for you. I would not hesitate to use this accommodation again.

3 night stay

We chose this hostel and were satisfied from the beginning to the end. We were very well received in this beautiful, charming building. We liked the white room very much. The host was very kind and we could count on him to advise us on where to visit. This hostel was in every way the one we were looking for. Very happy to have met this very courteous and kind host. We will be back.

A charming building

We stayed there for a week (pair with a 22-month-old child). The house is ideally located between Neufchâtel-Hardelot and Boulogne-sur-Mer. The owner of the guest house is nice, friendly and very good advice for going out. We have a shared kitchen available which is excellent when you have a young child. I have no complaints to make, just a warning because it is a high-rise house so not suitable for those with health concerns and people with reduced mobility.

Lovely guest house

Seeing that most of the comments are older, I wish to give an update on this very charming B&B we stayed 3 nights in December 2016. The villa dates from the 1890s and has its own charming character... from the outside it looks impressive, with a nice park around it, a second look reveals it needs some upkeep. But it's a B&B, not a hotel: so if you look for a modern hotel with 24/24 service, this is not for you! Those looking for a friendly and something different place to stay will not be disappointed and will appreciate the house and the friendly hostess. And it's very good value, too!
Some facts first: it's well located with easy access to Boulogne and the A16, parking is easy (yes you need a car to get there) but there's no traffic noise from the street. A large supermarket is nearby. The rooms are on the 2nd and 3rd floor, so if climbing stairs is an issue, be aware there's no lift. The familiy suite on top is comfortable, 2 large rooms with a large (new) bathroom, sleeping up to 5 in comfortable beds. Everything is very clean, water kettle and hair dryer are provided. Heating was not a problem, the electric radiators work very well: although outside it was freezing cold, inside the room was cozy warm. Doors are vintage and cannot be locked, but that's part of the charm... 
Breakfast is served in a large salon on the 2nd floor and was fine for French standards: tastes are different, but there's really no reason for complaints about the breakfast served!
Just one recommendation: be sure to inform the hostess of your time of arrival, as there's no staffed 'reception'.
All in all we fully enjoyed our stay at Le Plein Air and would definitely recommend the place to anybody wishing to stay in a 'special' B&B!

A charming B&B, you'll definitely like it!

We have now stayed here twice fantastic accommodation, Katy is very helpful, friendly, charming and keen to make your stay special. Cannot wait for our next visit. 

Our room was lovely at the top of the house with lovely views over the surrounding hills and very special.

Fantastic find

A charming / beautiful hostess, house and garden.
We arrived later than expected due to major problems on the route from SW France, but were immediately made to feel at home by Cattie, the charming hostess. The house and garden are also beautiful and it is so well placed for a next day ferry from Calais, or if you want to stay longer - exploring the lovely surrounding towns and countryside. Breakfast next day was very nice and Cattie was perfect company, making sure you had everything you wanted as well as providing personal recommendations about the area. Well recommended. We will definitely take the opportunity to stay here again. Thanks.

A charming / beautiful hostess, house and garden.

The outdoors is a very charming house very well located and where you feel good. It's very quiet, soothing, and the greatest value of this house is most certainly the lady who owns it, Katy, who is extremely kind and good counselor for local plans... in short we left this morning but will definitely return there.
