Very nice reception. Very clean room and bathroom at the top. Medium family type restaurant but there is much worse. Very supportive staff, with little care. Nothing to say. Niquel. In addition to nearby Ardèche gorges, caves... excellent quality price ratio, 50 euros a night and compliance with covid19 requirements.

Practical Rest

We mostly didn't eat there. We spent a night there. As soon as we arrived we were very surprised (negatively) by the reception. Then the walls must be paper because we heard everything and nobody had the respect to make less noise (I had to get out of bed to scream in the hallway). Not to mention that the establishment found it judicious to run washing machines around 9pm-22pm (machines are next to the room!).

Not to sleep

During our annual winter outing between friends on our old 2 wheels; the lunch stage was set at this restaurant and the group ate very well in a typical room in the area. Each one chose according to his taste: plan of the day, menu-pizza or menu-meat or fish. In short, good fresh produce was enough all with a quick and well-organized service and it was not easy for the staff to manage all the different choices of the 17 hungry! A simple but quality address to eat, for a reasonable price, in a pleasant setting and by a smiling staff (average per participant served: €20.18 per entrance, dish, dessert, wine, coffee, dessert, etc.).

A pleasant midday talk among old friends

A menu for the day at 12€50, a card that offers brewery dishes at affordable prices. It's certainly not the big home kitchen but the reception is warm and the meals are good compared to the offered prices.

It's horrible.

The Lou Quinsou restaurant has been our holiday canteen in Saint John for over 10 or 15 years. A generous cuisine that pleased the whole family, a hyper-efficient, fast, relaxing service. Last year, a big disappointment, ultra-slow service, mistakes, and sinister. We got our chance this year: 30 minutes to have an aperitif, a delicious snack plate tasted without bread, which we went to get ourselves after pleasantly claiming it, but three times. Dispersed dishes, desserts claimed as well... In short, a three-hour dinner for a very good menu (the chef is so great). Nothing to say about the bar service, which is really great, ultra-efficient and delicious for the restaurant...

Great food, but poor service at the restaurant.

When in the area we eat here 4 nights a week. 

We tend to see it as cost effective dining......, funny thing is we often go to more expensive locations where the food is not as good!!

Steak menu is 19€ with 3 courses.

House red is 7.5€ per litre.

Attached Bar is relaxing if you want to meet some locals.

Great Value Relaxing Location

The rooms looked to us to be very new, all of them were ensuite.

St jean is about half way between St Ambroix and Barjac, but the restaurant here was a lot cheaper than any in those 2 towns. 3 Course Pizza Dineer was 14€ and a litre of house red 6€

Typical French 'Countty Village Bar/Tabac/Restaurant'.

I would go back for the good value food and wine
