If you're traveling in search of unique experiences, this is the place. My wife and I traveled to Europe in May 2017 - yes, it took us a long time to do this assessment - and we passed through different cities in the 23 days we were there. Without a doubt, Le Clos Du Mont D'Hor was the best of our choices. The place is a small wine-growing champagne-producing winery. Let's say by the way, a little champagne without explanation of such good. As soon as we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by Nicolas, the owner of the inn (you must be in the car, this is the only one for sure). He introduced us to our room, explained about the times and marked a tasting of his champagne the next morning. During each stay, Nicolas was super attentive, a little doubt and a place in the region. He even got to know us with a lot of courtesy, although we had a chance to return to our tour with our best taste of champagne, although we had a very happy day with our visitor and visitor to the area.

This is our best hospitality experience of our life!

We booked this as a place to stay en route to the South of France and had no great expectations but it was lovely. The lady who greeted us could not have been friendlier or more helpful and she recommended a wonderful local restaurant and rang to book us in. She was very concerned when she showed us to our room because there were some dead flies on the windowsill and absolutely insisted on sweeping them up straight away, even though we weren't concerned. The room was spotless, with a lovely, comfortable bed and luxurious duvet, plus a gorgeous view over the vines growing outside. We could have done a free champagne tour and tasting the next morning but unfortunately we had to leave. We are planning to go back, though, as it was such a lovely place. If you are thinking of staying here, I would highly recommend eating at Attis in nearby Chenay.

A lovely place to stay

Stayed at the Clos during the month of August.  The staff and owner are very friendly and helpful.
The duplex rooms facing the vineyard are large and have all amenities.
The fridge in the room has a selection of the local wines in case you missed the morning's wine tasting session.

Superb B&B hideaway at a champagne vineyard

We spent a relaxing couple of nights on our way back from the Alps in this charming 'chambre d'hote'-style property. Our duplex 'loft-style' room was spacious, light and spotless with views across the vineyards. The beds and bedding were the most comfortable of our whole holiday and the staff were friendly and helpful, recommending convenient places to park and eat in Reims when we arrived late in the afternoon. Continental-style breakfast was fresh and well-presented. It was a peaceful and convenient location a short drive from the outskirts of Reims - a city which we will definitely visit again - the village of Saint-Thierry itself was rural and picturesque. We especially enjoyed our Lemaire champagne tour and tasting which was made all the easier being conducted in impeccable English and with no pressure at all to buy. We couldn't not of course, it was so delicious! We'd not hesitate to recommend Le Clos du Mont d'Hor and would happily stay again. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay so pleasant.

Charming stopover on route from Alps

I had stayed there last year, it had been a very quick visit, a late arrival and early start back home but liked the place. 
So I decided to returne this year for a couple of days to visit the region with friends on our way down to the Alps.
What a treat Nicholas the owner was short staffed due to unforeseen circumstances but had so much time for us, he was amazing. He went out of his way to help us with an automobile problems. And was there for advise always smiling even though he was more than busy with harvesting his wheat fields. 
The view of his vineyards from our window was breathtaking and his Champagne and Ratafia the best. 
The rooms are spacious and spotless. 
Very close to the first motorway exit for Reims going south and easy to find.
The perfect stop over to chill before you start a holiday for a few days or to finish one on a high before getting back home.
Easily a five star choice.

My husband and I had a wonderful time there. The hotel is very nice and has a wonderful view to Veuve Clicquot vineyard. The owner Nicholas was very kind and helped me a lot in solving a minor health problem. Thank you very much Nicholas and staff!

We stayed here en-route to the Alps. Nicely appointed rooms, friendly reception and check-in. Set in a beautiful location, we walked to the village and back, v beautiful. Minutes off the motorway, nice continental breakfast too.

It's the second time I've spent the night there. It's a beautiful champagne estate with a wing that's been set up for accommodation. It's quiet, in the middle of the fields and not far from Reims.

Small hotel, with few rooms!!! Very familiar!!! Clean rooms, quiet place!!! Very nice from Reims!!!!! Good cost benefit..... There is no restaurant in the hotel.... Good breakfast..... with few fruits!!!! Good experience!!!!

This is an unforgettable place (we've already stayed 2x) not for luxury, but it's a producer, with a hostel with vineyards next to reims, that offers you everything, a guided tour, makes your reservation for dinner at a friend's restaurant, points you to another winery, etc, etc. And the rooms are great, absolutely suitable for the fare.
