We booked cabin number 4 in Yellowstone, at first glance everything looked right. Except when we looked closely, the sheets had not changed, dust had not been made. A friend had no room for him and decided to sleep in the couch bed upstairs (in the mezzanine) we open the couch bed and I think the photos speak for themselves.

That's unfortunate.

The chalet is now managed and staffed by Alpne Culture of Chalet Rassel fame.
So as usual the staff and service is superb. Unbelievable cooking with an excellent choice of wines.
The chalet is modern but authentic. They have definitely used an interior designer because all the rooms have a different style.
Exceptionally comfortable and everything works.

The wall across to the nursery piste is about 50m and then it is downhill another 100m to the bottom lift and you can ski back agin to the chalet. Perfect.

Oh and they bring your skis for fitting the night before.

This may well be a five star chalet but, contrary to advertising, it is definitely not ski to door. This chalet is on a road which is not snow covered and is not skiable, being used by vehicular traffic. One needs to walk, uphill, to the snow covered area near to the nursery slope with its magic carpet and the ESF Piou Piou area. This narrow snow covered area adjacent to shops and restaurants and with heavy pedestrian traffic, although not officially piste according to the piste map, is skiable along to a green run that takes you to the chair lift. 
Coming back to the chalet one can ski across the bottom of the nursery slope right to the end of the snow covered area without poling, but one would need to take one's skis off at the point where this meets the road. The chalet is visible from here, but one needs to walk down the road (approx. 20m as a guesstimate) with the traffic.

Not ski to door!

What unbelievable week we just had at Yellowstone 9-16th April. The chalet staff Klausi , Melvin (chef), Lauren & Callum were tremendous & could not do enough for us. The food was absolutely superb easily the quality of a top restaurant. The accommodation was of the highest quality, the décor & ambience created a beautiful atmosphere that my family & friends really enjoyed. We will definitely be going back.  Take a bow Yellowstone!!! 8 very happy adults & 8 very delighted kids!!

Fantastic Chalet Great Food Brilliant Staff!!!

Sainte Foy is a very special resort and it has Yellowstone which is a very special chalet.  We have stayed this last week with our two children, 14 and 16.  It is a chalet that is owner managed.  Great service in a luxurious and stunning chalet.  Every aspect of your holiday is covered.........delicious food, stunning rooms and amazing facilities.  

Would highly recommend +++++++

Absolutely Brilliant!!!!

A belated report from our stay over the New Year week 2012/13 when I took over the whole chalet for my family, my sister's family and another family (friends)....6 adults & 7 kids aged 4 to 18. We've been to St.Foy several times before and stayed in various catered and non-catered chalets with various firms. This is without question certainly the best chalet in St.Foy because its location is perfect, the interior is stunning, great food and service. It's not cheap but it's worth it! Nothing else needs to be said!

Yellowstone is in a league of it's own, everything from the style of decor to the friendly staff and 5 star food, not to mention the idyllic setting of Sainte Foy.  It has everything you need in a chalet and more, so much so one could stay there for days and not feel the need to leave other than to ski! 
Highly recommended, I'd go back again and again. Enjoy x

Exceptional

Without a doubt, THE BEST CHAILET OF THE ALPES, incredibly good. We were 12 celebrating a year of hard work, which was rewarded in the most memorable way ever. Delicious food, plenty of drinks. Tons and tons of powder just for us.Yellowstone couldn't be in a more charming place, perched on a rock above the entire valley. Cocktails in the outdoor jacuzzi looking at the St. Maurice's bowl after a day of eating were a pleasure.
