A stay with almost divine accents both by the extraordinary setting and by the very warm and caring welcome of Regina and Francis.

Exceptional

It is a small magical hotel for a quiet, leisurely rest with a huge veranda and a view of the bay. The town centre is not far away, the luxurious beach is nearby. It is not suitable for leisure lovers. Very hospitable hosts, excellent service, delicious breakfast. On the veranda you can enjoy the sunset. The town is small and also very quiet and leisurely. The season closes almost completely on September 30.

This is a wonderful magical hotel for relaxing.

Regine and Francois must be used to guests arriving with a sort of "WTAF" expression if they have driven round Soulac first. The front is currently blighted by "Le Signal",  a totally smashed up 50 year old building dominating the sea front, a victim of climate change and dune erosion which should finally be demolished next year after a lengthy legal battle. In late September the town had a distinctly fin-de-siècle feel with loads of party memories no doubt held within the Edwardian architecture. 
However, maybe those challenges mean Regine and Francois try that bit harder. They are real pros - very experienced, having run their previous hotel in Begles, near Bordeaux. The welcome was a little prescriptive as others have commented but as they live off site that is probably to be expected. The breakfast was the best we experienced on our week's holiday in the area, the rooms were spotless and the view was excellent - especially if you look left! They deserve every success.

Excellent B&B in a rather unusual town

Where to start. Le Lys des Sables is a slice of paradise tucked away among the pine trees overlooking the Soulac sand dunes and sea. This was our first week-long visit, having first stayed at des Sables for a few nights in July 2015. Second time round our stay was just as good, if not better. Regine and Francois are wonderful hosts. When were delayed arriving, Francois drove to pick us up from Lesparre. Nothing was a problem. The breakfasts are delicious: eggs, fresh fruit, pastries, cheese, meats, fruit juice, coffee... tea. All served on your private balcony. Each room is extremely comfortable with a fridge... plus a lovely bathroom. You have access to a guest kitchen upstairs too, so it’s easy to prepare simple meals if you fancy watching the sun go down with a glass of wine rather than venturing into town. Each day we returned to a spotlessly clean room and fresh towels. Thank you so much Regine and Francois, for another wonderful, wonderful holiday. We loved staying with you again and hope to be back! Second visit and just as wonderful...

What should I say ... everything in the Le Lys de Sables is just perfect. The rooms, the house and the very warm welcome you receive from the hosts. The B&B is very well located just few walking minutes from the centre ville of Soulac. For guests preferring to use a bike, free bikes are available at the B&B. 
In the morning you are welcomed again by the hosts with a great smile and a bonjour and a good breakfast.
Keeping it short - a wonderful stay in a wonderful location with wonderful hosts. We will be back at the The Le Lys des Sables!

A very warm welcome in a great location

When every place has its own thing and everything has its own place it is the perfect balance. This is what you find at Lys des Sables. Experienced hoteliers who build a guest house in order to offer an unforgettable stay. It is not a converted house, but rather a guest house built by them for us. The layout of the rooms offers a lot of intimacy to everyone.

That's perfect!

Lys des Sables is an exceptional guest house!!! Everything is perfect!!! It is the happiness in the pure state to spend the best stays there... The owners are very kind and professional, nothing to be said about the reception, the services, it is a rare and exceptional establishment by quality, beauty, cleanliness, everything and everything is perfect from A to Z... The rooms with sea view are spacious with large large beds, and a very comfortable bunk. All the rooms have magnificent large equipped and professional terraces.. The breakfasts are so tasty, and are prepared with delicacy and delicacy. The shower points are very well-stocked, very perfectly lined on all the terraces!!!!!!!! This is a very nice place to go without a very nice spot of sand, and there is a very nice spot of people on the surface of the paradise, and there is a very nice spot of people who can go to and enjoy a very nice spot without the presence of the beautiful sands and sands.

Regina and François, We stayed at your house in June 2017... it was great!!!! And your guest house is carved in a precious stone, with brilliant owners that you are.... At Le Lys des Sables everything is sparkling!!! And we are always very well received at your house, and we always spend a great stay in your screen... A thousand thanks for all this XXL perfection that you offer us!!!!!!!! From A to Z everything is PERFECT, Regina and François, both of you are a rare pearl in this profession.

Congratulations widely deserved...

Regine and Francois welcomed us very warmly and were attentive, discreet and friendly to our side. We were allowed to spend five relaxed days in the magnificent B&B with a magnificent view of the Atlantic. Even very sophisticated guests must be satisfied here. Absolutely clean, very thoughtful and beautifully decorated, no wishes remained open. The atmosphere was very pleasant and relaxing. Already in the morning we were welcomed with classical music. The breakfast was prepared according to our wishes and was extremely delicious. We felt very comfortable here at all times and would like to thank you for five very beautiful days with Regine and Francois. Ines and André were very pleased to have been here.

The perfect vacation

Regine and Francois have kept their level excellent, warm, charming and professional, in the sprint final until 1 October 2017 - working six months without breaks, La France en marche... then if the ugly big house le Signal is demolished as planned it's even better...
