It's a very nice place and a beautiful room except for us that it's not a guest room because we're in a place at the back of the grill garden. A room without air conditioning because it's broken down. Supplies having fun on the breakfast table on the outer terrace. On the other hand, breakfast was left to be desired because we had a croissant the other day and four slices of cello bread cut with no local produce. I think for a room at 120 euros, we were expecting the relationship with the host above all. We didn't even see the guests when we left, she didn't even ask us the time of our departure.

It's not a dorm room.

Outside the centre of Tassin, the hotel offers independent rooms (with parking); trailer accommodation is very nice (the interior space is not much), breakfast in the room is simple but complete: good experience

The room is not in the villa of the time of the photo but in the adjacent dépendance, a structure that houses three accommodations. If you want there is also a carriage style zingaresco.

Visiting Lyon

As part of a pro trip, I stayed one night in one of the available rooms, welcoming, comfortable and very convenient room with a small refrigerator (full of drinks is nice), a strong trunk, a dressing room...everything is thought out. The bed is comfortable, large shower, a sofa and a small low table. A private terrace is also available. The small dej is already served in the refrigerator, fresh juice, you won't be hungry. Finally, coffee machine, mud flavor the stay. A small resto allows you to go to dinner quickly in the evening. Very good address for business or other stay.

Very good comfort

I was traveling with a friend, and although we obviously preferred twin beds where we stayed I didn't know if it would be possible everywhere, nor did I realize it was an absolute necessity as far as my friend was concerned until we arrived at L'Orangerie. The place has a lovely old house with several units on the property for rental. The units are very nice and well equipped with everything one would need and a modern bathroom and separate toilet. The only problem being no unit has twin beds. The one we were given did have a short couch and as my back was troubling me, my friend said she would sleep on the couch, which didn't look like a good night's sleep. There was an ottoman in the room, the same height as the couch, so the owner left and came back with another the same size, which together made the couch the perfect length and width. She then put a fitted sheet over all three which held them tightly together, and then made up the bed the rest of the way. I was amazed. The owner, Julie, went way out of her way to make us comfortable. The regular bed that I slept in was the best sleep I had while in France. I'm not sure what it was. A combination of a good mattress and the perfect comforter and pillow, maybe. And my traveling companion stated the next morning that she slept better than she had on the whole trip so far. All I can say is that as proprietors go, Julie is fantastic. I had read here how helpful she has been to other guests and now I've found out for myself. It is easy enough to find with GPS, although she sent a separate email with directions, warning me about not confusing it with another similar address. There is parking and you're behind a closed gate. Nice and secure. She even has laundry facilities which we needed badly, but unfortunately didn't find out until we were leaving. I had looked for someplace to stay in Lyon, but prices were high and parking was a problem. If you have a car this is a perfect place from which to visit busy Lyon and return to the peace and quiet of this lovely property. I recommend it!

Very Accommodating Owner

Sleeping in a trailer, for a short stay: why not! Nestled in a nice tree-lined garden, the trailer is comfortable for a person. On the other hand, if breakfast cannot be taken outside, you have to juggle with a very small table inside. Warming up milk is an exploit. Only a boiler is available. Breakfast products are good and in sufficient quantity. On the other hand, only sweet products prepared the day before. If you want to recover childhood memories in camping, this is the ideal place.

It's hard work

We only stayed at this B&B for a night on our way north. It's a tricky place to find on a busy dual carriageway but once you've found it, it offers everything you could need for a short stay. Our hostess was very helpful with information about the local restaurants and she even booked one for us. The accommodation is an apartment separate from the main house. It was decorated to a modern standard and had all the necessary amenities including aircon, fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. It even had its own private patio. Breakfast, unfortunately, was a prepacked effort including bread, croissant (not fresh obviously) juice and yoghurt. Nice place, quiet despite the busy road.

a place of peace and tranquility

Thank you to Julie for her hospitality and kindness. I spent a week a month for two years and I really enjoyed the setting I stayed in and the flexibility of the formula: a very clean and spacious room, spaces for breakfast in the bedrooms, the private terrace next door with the possibility of dining in the evening.

A Purely Happy Time to Recharge Yourself

We stayed one night at the Orangerie to break the journey by car from Spain to Italy: the owner is very friendly and available, the two rooms are well furnished and comfortable, very clean and cared for in every detail. Breakfast is available in the room and is already included in the price of the room: in the morning it was pleasant to eat on the table outside, which overlooks the beautifully cared garden. Dogs (even large sized) are accepted, and it is convenient to take them for a stroll in the grass just outside the orangerie.
