We had a very good weekend in the north of the Loire. An unforgettable owner on many topics of discussion. Beautiful ingenuity for building a cabin in a tree. A copious lunch and excellent homemade jams. Atypical decoration made of old furniture mixing with the modern comfort of the bathroom. For motorcyclists, the possibility of bringing their vehicle back safely from the road. A very good address.

Resting

The property sits across the road from the main river running through the area, and is larger that just about anything back home. At the back of the property are high cliffs with houses and more cut into them. It was interesting to get the history of these places and that people still lived there. The road outside is busy in patches but we had plenty of parking and it was easy to get out onto the road. The Tourist Office was just up the road which provided a great reference point to get information on the local area. We found Da Vinci's last home and a number of flea markets nearby The road is also home to a number of wine stores and brilliant restaurants, where we spent a chunk of time, service and food just dreamy. The property has large garden areas which we sat in and had dinner one night and just relaxed in. The variety of plants is stunning and the rose collection huge - note that the owner makes rose jam and other treats which you sample as part of breakfast and can buy to take with you. I had to get more funds out as partner bought plenty. Beds were comfortable and warm.There was room to move around in the rooms and showers were hot. We all had a pile of bags but still load of room in the units. Each unit opens onto the gardens but has a recessed entrance for privacy. Breakfast was served in the main room in the house and was excellent. Plenty of juice, coffee, tea, pastries and fruit. In fact even more than we could eat. The host and partner are proud of the place and it shows. We were able to spend time with them and also get to know their kids who were just full of beans. Ticked all the boxes and price was under what I had expected and very reasonable.. How to judge a place? - I felt welcomed, I was comfortable and I would definitely stay there again.

Try the rose jam and meet the family behind the home stayT

We spent the first week here in June and it was great. A nice room, a beautiful garden with just ripe fruit to use. A very warm host. With smaller problems, you had immediate help. Jean Jaques and Felana are super hosts. The chemistry was instantly right, which led to a joint appetizer and two dinner parties. An absolutely successful stay with family connection. Happy again!

Nice rooms, good breakfast, helpful and interesting operators

It is filled with roses of all kinds, and there is a sober but pleasant room decorated in old fashioned style. The owner is very hospitable and makes us share his taste for art without hesitating to give advice on how to visit the area.

Private parking on the street outside the property and lack of lighting in the evening, very simple room, furnished with antiques all for sale, rather a mini shop than a room, spartiate comfort in the shower room, toilet, 1 towel door, no stool, nothing to hang clothes, sliding door, proper breakfast served at table, orange juice, hot drink of choice, 1 croissant, bread, chocolates sticks, rice, yogurt and cake pot, very friendly owner.

It's a very nice place on the banks of the Loire. The owners are very relaxed. They make houses for breakfast.

It's a cool place.

We were recently in this B & B. Apart from the kindness of the owner and his wife, it seems correct to point out that the room we had was below the minimum standard of decency required for the asking price. I saw B & B in France for the same price offered at least twice the service, if not more. In addition, the published photos not respect the structure that I found. Beyond the beautiful area in which it is located, the Loire, the stay was partially ruined from this structure. I hope to never again be structures as well!

Much smoke and little roast ..

Only in France can you meet such families. Races of different backgrounds, the very kind wife who runs the house, the rooms, the computer, her husband Jean Jacques who is curious and entertains the guests for his adventurous, unusual, art-dense life, research and curiosity. A subject outside of every scheme, whom we thank for sharing with us some of his experiences, for opening up his house full of artwork of every kind and origin. Perfect location, cleanliness and service, outdoor parking. A good-quality restaurant next door.

This is a beautiful room and original decor that you can buy on your way home.This is a beautiful house on the banks of the Loire, with beautiful floods this year.The owner is very welcoming and enjoys sharing his passion for art, jam and gardening.

From Vouvray to the waterfront

We stayed only one night in this hotel. The room is very large, with a very large bed and a living room with armchairs. But it has no ventilation. The only air intake was through the door. Fortunately it was refreshed at night because otherwise it would have been unbearable. There was no way to ventilate the bathroom steam. The room had 7 outlets, but only worked 2. The breakfast was normal, with products made from the fruits of the park. The WIFI only worked in a park place away from our room. There is no price relation between quality and price.
