Very nice place, well maintained, we were delighted to stay there, we are delighted and recommend this quiet and close to Wimereux castle.

Great for a birthday party!

This beautiful place is just perfect! About a 40 minute drive from the Tunnel. Guy & Catherine are lovely, welcoming hosts to their exquisite home. Guests have use of a salon which is beautifully furnished with antiques and interesting 'coffee taable' literature. Our pretty room had windows on two aspects of the chateau overlooking the extensive gardens. The bed was extremely comfortable, the bathroom well equipped with lovely soft towels, shower gel etc ... The French windows gave onto a balcony with seating and a table. We woke to sunshine and birdsong. Guests order breakfast the ight before and it is served in the dining room overlooking the rear garden. Breakfast, cooked by Catherine and served by Guy, was absolutely delicious! Fresh coffee, mueseli, fresh fruit salad, yoghurt, croissants, grilled bacon, scrambled eggs and lots more. We stayed for 2 nights and had supper in restaurants recommended by Guy - L'Estival in Audinghem and La Speranza in Wimereaux. I highly recommend this place.

Perfect!

We had an excellent stay at the Chateau. Our beautiful, well appointed room had a balcony overlooking the lovely grounds and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was a real treat with delicious cheeses, bread, pastries and charcuterie. An excellent place to stay and we would recommend this if visiting the area.

Excellent Stay

We stayed here in early August. Guy and Catherine welcomed us so warmly and even waved us off as we left. We have been telling everyone that they have shown us how hosting is done! They made us feel so good as guests. They gave us an early breakfast as we had an early ferry (and wow, what an amazing breakfast). We had a simply stunning room with a balcony. There were so many beautiful touches that I photographed them all as I want to replicate some of them in our home. The windows are so big and beautiful. It was our last night in France and the absolute perfect place to stay. Thank you Guy and Catherine.

The extra mile!

We spent 2 nights at the Chateau de la Marine with the two cordial hosts Catherine and Guy (also English speaking), on our golf road trip through France. An insanely charming property with a huge garden and a very tasty 18th-century chateau. Our rooms were very tastefully decorated with warm colors in rosé-grey: beautiful. But the entire rooms, e.g. the breakfast room are exceptional, a lounge for the guests as well.

Perfect + extraordinary welcome + free parking + best breakfest

We stopped here en route and there is no doubt it is a  very convenient place to break a journey to or from SW France.  It is however a lovely hotel and would be a great place to explore the local area.  We were received with a warm welcome and our host was able to give us helpful suggestions for dining on the night we stayed. 

The beds were comfortable and the rooms are well equipped.  The breakfast was superb. The chateau is both grand and cosy and we enjoyed sitting in the salon taking tea at the end of the day.

Thoroughly recommended

My wife and I stayed in late August.  The Chateau is absolutely charming and the hosts (Guy and Catherine) were really helpful.  (It was my wife's birthday and I had asked them if they would be willing to buy me some flowers for the room and when we arrived there the flowers were making the lovely room look even more inviting)

The chateau was built (I believe) in the 1880s and restored by the owners about 8 years ago.  The building is really impressive and set in lovely grounds with just a hint through the trees of the sea.  It's very easy to get to the coast with its wonderful beaches (about 10-30 mins depending on which beach) - and we were really lucky with the weather.  The beaches are simply stunning

The bedroom had those 'turn of the century' wonderfully high ceilngs and the bed was fantastic.  Both of us like a large bed and we've been really frustrated in the past when booking to find the 'large' bed referred to in the booking form isn't so 'large' when we arrive.  But not here.  It says 'large' on the tin and it means 'large'

The breakfast was wonderful - a wide choice of beautifully presented goodies.

We'd heartily recommend Chateau de la Marine.

Simply delightful and a cut above the rest

A place full of contemporary history. Very neat architecture both inside and outside. Complete remodeling. Large room with a very comfortable bed. Terrace with a view of the park. Warm reception from the owners, who are anxious to inform you about the historical details of the area.

Magnificent stays in a bucolic environment

Furnished castle with class and elegance / spacious and very well-kept room / ample and varied lunch / friendly reception We had a short but very good stay One plus for the terrace overlooking the tree-lined park!

That's very good.

This is an excellent overnight stop after leaving the UK or returning - popular also with the Dutch.  We always book by phone.

On Friday nights the hostess prepares homely food but on other nights you must head out to local restaurants or picnic in your room (which other residents did).
