This hotel is perfectly located being two minutes from the chairlift. The hotel has a light and cheerful feel and the rooms are pretty comfortable with ours looking straight onto the mountains. Sadly the food was somewhat disappointing both for breakfast and dinner. Pretty basic but edible so we decided to eat out despite having paid for half board. There is a ski rental shop almost connected to the hotel but it has very limited stock so don’t expect too much. That said this was all great value for money.

Great for ski in and out

In January 2020, we moved into this hotel in Lower Gudauri for two days because there was no water supply in Upper Gudauri. My rating was 3 out of 5 with a strain. What I liked: responsive and waitress. What I didn't like: the room was two windows and cold. Why did they require payment every day and not on the way out.

A review of the Donato Hotel

Georgia met us in the clouds and rain, and as we are travelling on a moto, we had to look for a place urgently. Prices of 50 dollars per room did not suit us, then the next hotel we stayed at was Donata. From the threshold was shown maximum hospitality, quickly offered options to fit into our budget. Excellent room, service at a height, and for us this is more than enough. This amount of attention we did not expect...., we were met as close friends, helped with the repair of the equipment, were invited to the table by the host of the hotel. Thank you very much for such a warm reception!!! We advise you to stay in this hotel, I am sure you will not regret!

Come on, you won't regret it.

I don't want to leave a review about the hotel, but about the restaurant. We came to eat in the break from the catalyst and were pleasantly surprised. The most delicious homemade wine that we tried in Gudauri is stored right here)). Thick, saturated, delicious, you must come and try it. They ordered the hachapuri on the mingreels (it's just incredible, it's impossible to get rid of it), they also took the hinkalis with the mushrooms 2 pieces (it was delicious, but very sharp, but it's just the taste because I'm not a fan of my island), they ordered the шашлык and 2 glints. They left an atmosphere of about 80 lari.

It's an amazing wine!

Great hotel in an amazing location. Truly ski in and ski out. Staff are great and really helpful. Don’t bother with half board as the food is awful in the restaurant. I don’t expect breakfast and evening meal to be cold and then you microwave it ??
Loads of restaurants close by and all cheap so next time will do room only. 
Family room was perfect with a double bed on the mezzanine level for the kids
I think we will be back next year 😎

Family ski holiday

Hotel Donata is the perfect location for skiing. Access straight to the slopes. Perfect access point for beginners,yet also only a 100m ski to the 1st chair lift. How perfect! We were welcomed by Lika and Georgi who were more than helpful. Lika sat with us, at our request, and helped us plan our days in Georgia. No task was too big or too small. From food recommendations to helping us plan our route. Big hugs were given on departure. We wish we had more time and we'd have gladly based ourselves there. The hotel itself is very cheap considering the beautiful rooms, views and facilities. The rooms were exceptionally cosy and the location is ideal for reaching any point of interest in Gudairi. I could write about this for days, but I 100% reccomend you to check it out yourself.

Best Hotel and Even Better Staff

The hotel has an easy access to the slopes. Our room was very speciose compared to a very small bathroom. The rooms are not really noise proofed. Otherwise we had everything we needed. The staff of the hotel were very friendly and helpful. Really great experience. We also had a very present experience at the bar. However, the area of the hotel can be more developed, there is no proper road to the hill where hotel is located, when the snow is melting it’s just becoming a mess. I understand that this hotel in new and additional investment is required to develop the area, however they could at least keep it clean. The dinner buffet is very limited, mostly good to satisfy Eastern European palate. I would like to see more of international dishes. They also have a nice terrace facing the slope, where we liked to enjoy the sun after a day of skiing.


A decent hotel for a quick ski 

Hello! I would like to thank the staff of this wonderful hotel. We stayed in January 2018, an excellent warm room with an unforgettable view. If you need a hotel near the elevator and the exit directly to the mountain then this is definitely for you. Very cozy on the first floor of the lobby with fireplace. We booked a room with breakfast from 9:00 and dinner (from 16:00), eat tasty, varied, ate on the mountain once. In the evening you can only visit the living room which is also in the hotel. During the week of rest we did not find any minuses, so we recommend this hotel boldly.

Excellent hotel with a great location

The hotel is mostly perfect, except for the road that leads to it. The rooms are free, cleaning every day. The staff is friendly. The dining is double, breakfast and late lunch (from 16.30 to 18).

It's a good hotel.

The hotel is located in Lower Gudauri right on the slope of the elevator 1 (Near Marco Polo hotel). There is a ski rental, priced as everywhere in Gudauri 35 lars. The room is clean, simple, comfortable and very warm!!! There is everything you need - sweets, snacks, very tasty cosmetics. The cleaning and cleaning of the roadside itself up to the next morning! There is no teaspoon in the hotel! There is no teaspoon in the next few minutes and the price of the hotel is constantly on the lookout, but it was a nice and convenient way to stay in the hotel.
