It's the first time I've ever gotten such a low score, but it's also the first time I've ever been to a hostel and I can't close my eyes because the guy at the reception keeps the music up all night long. The combination of high-pitched Eastern music and dirty surroundings with walls that fortunately can't tell what they've seen has created a kind of nightmare sleepwalk.

It's a nightmare!

So what do you say? The first impression when we arrived was that we wanted to cry. We had about 20 people and we took the whole hostel. We moved into the next rooms. One for eight people. One for three people. One for eight people. One for three people. The rest is normal. The rest is two-bedroom. All the two-bedroom rooms are side-board rooms. We called them - live in the closet. Shower and toilet are only two for the whole hostel and one for the inside of the hostel. You don't have any shoes, the rooms are not closed, but nothing is stolen, all right. It's a good option for those who want to save as much as possible in Tbilisi. Convenient location: within walking distance of the hostel of all the sights of Tbilisi. Responsive staff, always ready to come to your aid. I didn't like the dining room. The lighting is too dim.

I stayed in this hostel in May this year.

Good points: Excellent location. Right on Freedom square. Good wifi throughout the hostel.

Bad points: The private room I was in is actually situated as a part of the shared dorm room, meaning you have to walk through their room to get there. The light switch for the private room is also within the shared dorm room. There was no lock on the private room meaning in theory anyone could use the "private bathroom" that the room should have.

A good base for a city trip

Maria Hostel is located in the Liberty Square, ca 100m away from the underground station. We stayed in that hostel for one night after a two week touring in Georgia, so we can compare this place to many others. The room are not big, but clean and have comfortable beds. They have two modern bathrooms (only showers, no bathtub), a well equipped kitchen and a bar, where you can enjoy a cigarette/drink, etc.If you are looking for a clean and quiet place in the city center, this is a very good one. They charged us 25GEL/person.
