In the middle of the vineyard of the Pieper winery is the hotel/guest house Dragonhole with a splendid Mediterranean flair. The rooms are large and clean with a view of one of the vineyards (Dragonfels). At the moment the farm seemed to be running a bit on fire, as the senior chief was not at the very top. After our arrival we first bought 2 bottles of wine at the reception and emptied an ad hoc on the balcony with a view of the Dragonfels. Later we still tormented ourselves at a feeling of 35 degrees on the Drachenfels mountain. Fortunately, you can get refreshments at the top.

Hotel/hotel with a Mediterranean flair

The guesthouse, run by the friendly owner himself, has a unique location right on the vineyard and on the Dragon Mountain. The clean rooms are generously cut and offer a wonderful view of the beautiful surroundings. The breakfast was well arranged. You can also buy the very good, e.g. award-winning wines on site. The location is best suited for hiking vacations. Parking is available free of charge to guests.

Pension vis-à-vis the vineyard

The rooms are large and clean, but the breakfast is very poor. The buns were baked and hard. The balconies could use a room separation. If you don't draw the curtains in the room, you run the risk that the roommate will watch you sleep. A bicycle room would also be advantageous.

Cycling

An older hotel, very clean and large room. The rooms are located at the back outside the vineyard, so that the busy federal road did not disturb. The pillows were flat like a napkin, here would be possible with minimal investment. Otherwise, the overnight stay was good and recommended. The breakfast is rather below the general standard (old backbreads?) and not recommended.

Visiting an Elderly Lady

In the lovingly decorated and charming house right by the vineyard, I felt comfortable. You park right next to the house or come by the subway. The rooms are nice (tiles). Breakfast is good, even if not all is in abundance, but with good coffee and delicious bread. There is no restaurant and even in the vicinity you won't necessarily find anything in the evening. The highlight, however, is the beautiful location at Dragon Rock, the great view from the balcony, the wine shop, the self-made marmalade and mustard, and a nice conversation with the still roaring chef. I went from there to Dragon Rock to Kingwinter in about an hour, ate there in 20 minutes and ran back to the house. I can remember the history of the house, and I've been there once, and I'll be back with the wine, and I'll go back to the Rhine.

Especially

Great rooms. Large and clean. A little cool, but just right for the hot weather. Nice owner. Unfortunately no gastronomy. Maybe summer break. Great view. The passing balcony could be partitioned to give you a sense of privacy.

Time off

Nice family hotel at the vineyard. Friendly personal atmosphere. Large clean rooms with beautiful vineyard view. Classic German breakfast. We recommend this hotel to anyone looking to get away from the large hotel chains looking for a personal touch.
