Bad Mergentheim

Hotel very centrally, a 5 m walk, have been very kind during our stay, a very complete and varied breakfast, on arrival we were awarded a superior to the hired room, very spacious and overlooking a very nice square. The hotel has a parking that was offered to us on arrival, the room as before was a very spacious suite and with a very spacious bathroom with bath and shower.

Good views

From the train station to the old town and not far from the hotel. The reception was very friendly. On the walls were all great self-painted pictures. Everything was beautifully decorated. The room was relatively large, with refrigerator. The beds were a little too soft, but very comfortable. Everything is very clean. There are cabinets and a desk. The bathroom was beautiful and functional. Breakfast was extensive. Fresh fruit salad, milk rice and caesarey. In addition, you could order eggs, sweets. There was delicious coffee. Very friendly and competent service.

The reception wasn't very special. The junior principal said we hadn't booked. Then you found this. I called extra for a parking space, nothing. The worst thing was the room. We had booked a deluxe room, but we got the worst room in the house. The bathroom was about 80 cm wide and 1.50 long, you had to get out of the bathroom to dry. The booked room was a room with balcony or terrace. No, there was a balcony on the 2 chairs that were also still defective. The wallpaper was dirty and old cheap furniture from the 90s. I wanted to see a deluxe room, but I was refused. Then I called a cleaning lady to show me a room. This room was really obviously not going to be taken in the morning.

We're not booking this hotel anymore.

Everyone's opinion of their accommodation is different, so I only detail the things I thought were good and bad - make up your own mind. We booked a superior double (216) room with car parking

THE GOOD

Fantastic very large clean airy room. Super modern bathroom with stand alone shower and corner bath.  Very large comfy bed.  Small balcony with two chairs.  Very close to market square (approx 5 minute walk)

THE BAD

There was no air con, but didn't feel we needed it, even though it was 30 degrees outside.  There were no English channels on the TV and no literature in the room.  We had to ask reception for the Wifi code.  The view from the balcony was just of the back of another section of the hotel, with bins and fire ladders - not very pleasant.  Parking was underground in a very tight car park, 16 spaces, 8 on top of each other - you would need to be a confident car parker to use this car park.

THE GOOD AND THE BAD - MAKE YOUR OWN MIND UP

The seven days at the hotel were very nice. Clean rooms, very pleasant atmosphere, and always friendly staff, who tried to fulfill all wishes. The food was very good and tasty. The location is pleasant and quiet and everything is very well reached on foot. A great compliment to the owners of the hotel.

A nice family-run hotel

We stayed only one night at this hotel. The friendly staff at the reception gave us a good indication of where to park. The room was clean, as well as the bathroom with shower for people with physical disabilities. After a pleasant night we enjoyed breakfast with a wide selection and also friendly and attentive service. If something was missing, it was quickly followed up.

Central location with good breakfast

The pictures on the Internet promise a lot, but for a real boutique hotel it's not enough in sum. It's all clean but partly out of date. The bathroom was modern but poorly lit and somehow water always flowed over somewhere. Interesting was the way the box spring bed was fixed. (see photo) The staff were extremely friendly and hardworking.

But try to get some air up

The shower's drain smelled bad when it came to the room. Bad noise control at high capacity. There are cocktails made of plastic bottles at the bar for 7 to 8 euros. Positive was a younger brown lady at the reception who quickly accepted the guests' wishes. The older lady at the reception forgot to pass the curriculum. The other ladies are diligent, but apparently not proficient.

Price performance is still sufficient

Everything was old, cheap... the desk was probably covered with paper for shaky reasons... and the toilet... um... was still being used by the previous one when we arrived, which was missing from the staff.

More than came in the years

The room was clean, bright, not very big with a tiny bathroom. Colour didn't match much, a renovation is needed because the room is old. The mattress in particular was very important to replace. I slept poorly and woke up with back pain. The breakfast was great, the staff at the service and reception were very friendly and the situation is super central.
