It's too bad, we'd like to have a cup of coffee and cake/ice cream on Easter, which was on the card anyway; no special wishes. Of the 15 tables, five were occupied. We were told that desserts could only be ordered after a main hall. Since it was already 3:30 and we had already eaten lunch, we felt compelled to spend our money elsewhere. We would have been very happy to enjoy the fine atmosphere of the monastery. Really bad service.

Prevention of sales

We were here as a couple for 5 days in June 2021. A couple of words about communication behavior during the booking phase: disastrous! Booking emails were only very slowly and incompletely answered, there were no calls back on phone calls. Customer-friendliness looks different! The reception at the reception was a single catastrophe. An arrogant waiter - pretending to own the hotel - was unable to find the key for 45 (!) minutes. When I asked a coffee on the house friendly because of the long wait time, I was found to be rude: That's not possible, the boss would have something! The reason: for a relatively low price (99 euros) the roof of a room is small compared to the price of a hotel. The room can be used because of the extreme price, but not because of the extreme price.

Nice hotel with obvious service deficiencies

Hotel monastery fish After our 17km walk we would have wished for a more cordial reception at the hotel (the employee was stressed, rushed, not necessarily friendly, it was so disappointing!) or at least that our suitcases were already on the room but these had to be searched first, finally we were allowed to stand thirsty in the scorching sun for quite a long time in the inn where our luggage had been parked, which was travelling by way of luggage transportation all day long. Then we had the opportunity to observe as much personal talk with our bare fingers as possible... we were allowed to carry our suitcases 3x high instead of these old steps.

Only for the overnight on the transit okay

We arrived in the restaurant's garden at about 1:30 p.m. and were threatened by a supervisor because the free table had to be disinfected first. Then we sat for 20 minutes without being told. After another scary minute, we were able to order drinks. We still had no memory cards. We got them at 13:15. Then our beer came, but we didn't record our food desires. We left them at 1:30 p.m. Our food came, which was delicious, though. And we weren't the only ones who got it.

Good fish, but catastrophic service

My father and I, fishermen, were very critical of the fish dishes, and the wels were very tasty, fresh and delicious from the crowd.

The family visit was great.

The hotel's location is nice. The hotel with restaurant, room and barn is quite cozy. What to complain about is the service in the restaurant. You are not paid attention as a guest. The manager and the waitress ran past us and only asked us after about 15 minutes what we wanted. According to the opening time sign, the restaurant should be open until 9:30 p.m. At 8 p.m. we got nothing to drink anymore. Even under stress you can't deal with the guests like this. The nice service from the kiosk tried to cheer us up again.

Nice hotel, poor service

We visited this restaurant after visiting the Michaelstein Monastery, and the selection of food is very fishy, but there are also successful alternatives, and the service was good and adequate.

Nice place to eat.

The monastery fisherman is part of a beautiful ensemble of the Michaelstein monastery. It is cozyly furnished and you can feel the spirit of the monks;-) especially in the cold season very refreshing. The reinforced, white tablecloths and fabric veneers and the very high prices for this area give the impression of an upscale restaurant. The dishes contain mainly fish in the most varied varieties. Qualitatively they are fine, but do not justify the high prices. The portions are too small. Hot vegetables are most often sought on the map. For vegetarians there are only three dishes, which unfortunately have not changed. The portions here are also worthless, but at a very high price, but once in a while, the taste and taste of the dishes are not very good.

It looks good, but it's not too late.

On the occasion of a special birthday, our family spent two days in this beautiful place. The hotel is simple, but clean and convenient. Michaelstein Monastery's offerings were a valuable framework in the form of a child-friendly tour of the candlelight and the historic musical instrument exhibition. In the inn we were pampered culinarily. The food was excellent, whether soup, fish or poultry - everything tasted good! The service was friendly, welcoming and competent. A heartfelt thank you to the business! We would love to come back.

A Happy Family

The monastery fisherman's hotel consists of various buildings. The key is in the restaurant. From there the road leads unprotected to the various rooms. These are housed in different parts of the building and not connected to each other. So is breakfast, if possible, also through rain. My flat room was very small and rather simple set up. Frames, hooks, etc. are very cheap plastic. The condition of the facility is relatively good. Unfortunately, there was no reception in the rooms, neither for internet nor for telephone. There is WLAN. There was, however, no reception. Okay, for one night. In the monastery there was also a lot of food in the past.
