Perfect for a family reunion with small kids for the weekend. 
The rooms are clean, bright, and spacious. 
The buffet style breakfast,  lunch, and dinner were all delicious. 
The drink selections were outstanding from wines, beers, soft drinks, coffees, teas, and waters. 
They also have coffee and cake hour.
There are many activities for the children to do.
Highly recommend this hotel.

Family reunion weekend. 

The Ottonenhof has exceeded our expectations. The first cordial experience occurred on arrival when the owner of the hotel called us in the car and kindly asked if everything was ok with us and when we would arrive, so that they could bring the food to us, something will arrive later. 🥰 We had the apartment Tanne - everything lovingly decorated in country style, cleanliness the same as its taste and super friendly. We slept sooo well as never on the first night in a new hotel. The whole hotel feels like a very small village because it is located in the center of a small village, and the surrounding village is also full of cuisines in different buildings.

The hotel is decorated according to the 3 stars. The pony rides cost 10 min 8 euro! It is worth noting that the parents must be present and the pony is also in the kitschy corner here or there. We spent 9 days in this hotel and had a great time. The family hotel is making a name for itself with child-friendly staff and great facilities for big and small. Kids carts to rent, indoor and outdoor playgrounds, high chairs and baby bathrooms. We didn't miss anything. Positives The indoor playground is great just because we had a few rainy days with us. The childcare has worked super well and the staff were super nice.

First time with children

Housing and food is OK, however even if you stay for several nights, there is no daily cleaning in the room, unless you pay an extra fee. Communication of staff about attractions is very seldom, and then if you are attentive enough, you would discover the need to pay extra for even a short ride on a monkey, or similar small attractions. 
Furthermore, it is just sad that in the nearby there is really nothing to see or visit, with or without the kids, unless you take your car...
In a nutshell: there is a problem with value for money, i.e. the price you pay is too high compared to what you get.

Small family hotel, in the middle of nowhere

The Ottonenhof is a great holiday destination for the whole family, where hospitality and child-friendliness are greatly appreciated. The hotel rooms are clean and well equipped. The food selection is always fresh and tasty. The staff is always nice, helpful and hospitable. Children come through varied care and the variety of possibilities at their expense, which also gives parents a well-deserved time off. However, if you expect a 5-star Wellness & Comfort Hotel, you are at the wrong address. However, if you like integrity, honesty and farming, you are right back here. Here's the one who packs up. We can recommend the hotel with a full conscience and come back here.

Clean, nice service, honest kitchen & family atmosphere

We are pleased with your praise, but we are also pleased with your honest criticism. Well, certainly not every room cleaning is a danger for the little ones. Even if we hadn't had a very positive first impression, we were welcomed by an incredibly nice lady, whose belief is always the well-being of the guests. The room was large and clean enough, the mattresses unfortunately didn't have to be permeable and long, overlapping screws on the children's wedding bed. Well, certainly not every room cleaning was a danger. Even if we hadn't had a very positive first impression for sustainability reasons, we really had to have had to have this happen, for example, when we asked for the Wickeltic products to be smelling good in the family home.

Disappointing

We, two adults and two children (two and four) with Grandma and Grandma are here for the second time now. And as with the first time, everything is great again! The staff, childcare, food, the apartment. Unfortunately, this time we had to go on vacation, so the one-week stay was much more expensive than the first time outside the holidays. But there was also more program offered. Trekking trips, barbecues, baking, carnival hunting, etc. Our children were always busy, so we even had the one or two hours relaxed for us. We will definitely be back...

Very nice again.

We were in the Ottonenhof for the first time during the autumn holidays with the whole family (2 adults, 3 children 4, 8 and 10 years old) and were enthusiastic. To highlight in particular is the warmth and childlike nature of the host and staff. Everyone is very familiar and it is immediately cleaned. Moreover, I have never seen such a clean hotel before, and although it is a children's hotel and has grown from an old factory farmhouse. The innumerable possibilities that the hotel and the surroundings offer to children and adults, I will not mention at all (and this even with almost fall rain). We managed to get to the well area with 3 children because the very hot bathroom has never been used at all.

Great family hotel, great host

My visit to this family hotel is actually a little longer. I didn't even get to this hotel and I was thinking for a moment about whether or not I should leave again on the second day. This was by far the worst family hotel I've ever seen. In the room, the baby bed was under a ceiling - a child is always crammed about a millimeter along the ceiling when it was brought into bed or when you wanted to take it out. It was completely impossible. Furthermore, I found the outdoor area boring. Childcare was not good - especially when it came to eating, it was very unfavorable. Maybe this is different, I don't know of course. But now little children sit around 15 minutes a year - and the children came to the grassroots in some grassroots. Just a couple of days ago, I found myself completely uncomfortable playing in a hotel room.
