We were in Düsseldorf for the Kristkindlmarkt, staying from Friday evening through Sunday morning. Hotel "Am Ehrenhof" offered affordable rates, despite being close to the Aldstadt / city center.

Breakfast is not included with your stay; you will need to pay additional per person. In our case €9 per person. Breakfast was of good quality: very freshly baked bread, a charcuterie selection, yogurts and breakfast grains. No full continental, which is perfect for us.

The hotel, despite what Booking.com may claim, does NOT have its own parking. There are a few parking garages close by. B+B Parking is the closest, and a Park One is about 15-20 minutes walking.

There is no manned front desk, the hotel is small and intimate. We had a language barrier with the on-site host (who spoke little German or English), but we managed just fine. They were the friendliest folks we've met in Düsseldorf! :)

Our room was perfectly suited for two adults traveling with a teenager. Room 16 actually consists of two rooms, with an adjoining bath room. One bedroom has a double bed, the other a single bed. This offered our teenager privacy. Both rooms looked a bit old fashioned, but they were very clean and the amenities were good! Both rooms had a wash basin and the bathroom with shower looked modern.

We were only there for a short while, so we didn't find many restaurants. There's a handful within walking distance. On Nordstraße you will also find a Réwé supermarket.

The city center is about 30 minutes walking from the hotel. You will find both a subway (U-bahn) and a streetcar (Strassenbahn) stop within 2 minutes walking on Nordstraße. With either of those, it's only a few short minutes ride into the center.

Family friendly, quiet, budget friendly

I spent almost two weeks at the Ehrenhof Hotel for business reasons and could not have wished for a better accommodation. The room was very practical-spaced with a separate hallway, an extra locker room and the bathroom separated from the bedroom again. The hotel owner was very friendly and cooperative and gave a direct welcome home feeling - in addition, she started the morning with a fresh mirror, fresh bread baker, a rich selection of choices and a very fresh coffee.

Perfect home in a central location for business trips or a city trip!

Had just two nights here (March 2019) but really wished it was longer. Very comfortable place to stay in every respect. Extremely quiet, quiet and lovely staff. Excellent breakfast too! Very close to great transport links and a great choice of places to eat and drink.

The perfect stay!

Although the facility has been a little outdated for some years, this is weighed down by the cleanliness, the quality of the breakfast and the friendly attitude of the owner. I was about 10 times a guest in the small hotel last year and enjoyed being received like an old acquaintance again and again.

Always pleasant

We stayed at this hotel at the end of September, when an exhibition was being held in Düsseldorf. Other hotels were busy and it was probably the only option where the cost of the room was not cosmic, although it was also very high.

A good hotel with a good hostess

The location of the hotel is fantastic for a short trip to Düsseldorf. You can either use the subway located right next to the hotel, or even walk to the old town (about 10 minutes). There is a parking lot directly opposite, but there are enough parking spaces right on the street. The hotel is small and owned by the owner and that's what makes it exciting. The owner is incredibly nice and casual. This service is definitely not available in any big business hotel. Our room was great. Big enough, very clean and quiet. The breakfast was absolutely great and the freshly cooked class. Contrary to other experiences that we have made on countless business trips to other big hotels, we have made it really fresh and cheesy! We wanted to come home from the first moment and feel very welcome!

Perfect hotel for a city trip to Düsseldorf

In the city centre, not far from a large park and the banks of the Rhine, in a shopping district with many small restaurants, this small hotel has comfortable rooms with a very good quality/price ratio. The breakfast buffet is simple, but very well packed.

Family and comfortable

I was at the hotel with my friend for a night on November 26, 2016 when we were attending a concert in the Ton Hall in the evening, and we didn't want to stress ourselves out by going in and out. What can I say; everything was perfect, from the welcome, the rooms were friendly, and a super breakfast, including personal conversations.

A family friendly atmosphere

I stayed 7 days in this hotel, its near U bahn and restaurants are just few mins away! I love the breakfast there, only the wifi connection is not so strong that we have to reach to the door there to get strong signal! But everything is perfect, they gave us HARIBO everyday after clean the room, very sweet! And host are very helpful, guiding us how to get to laundry store and exhibition place. I would definitely recommend it !  

Lovely hotel

I have been in Hotel Am Ehrenhof two nights for business purposes.
It is a small, nice and well managed garni. The landlady, Mrs. Claudia, is a very polite and helping lady.
My rom was quite big, clean and fresh.
Breakfast is more focused on salty rather tan sweet. Anyhow good and tasty.
Am Ehrenhof is not located in the center of the town but, if you are not too lazy, the center of the town is just 1,5 Km away. In case this is too much yiu can take a tram U78 and U79 stop are near by.
As a summary, for sure when I’ll be back to Duss I’ll consider Mrs. Claudia’s garni for my staying.
