There were a lot of people attending an event at the hotel. This is apparently also the main source of income because of the connected coaching institute. It was very noisy and restless; therefore not recommended for families with children. The equipment we provide service is the minimum standard and nowhere above. However, our stay is slightly behind the information available here. However, the owners are still the same.

More events than holidays

We had booked 4 nights in the Kaiserstuhl Suite and after a night in the unattended outdoor area, we fled the building. Faults: living room only inadequately heated, shower hose ruptured, water splashed in all directions, resulting in pads on the floor, no grip for the shower in the bathtub, standing in the bathtub to shower, the cover drops are not possible, drops under the sink (due to unhealthy clothes?). Overall, the apartment gives the impression of a poorly satisfied Water hose.

Once and never again

From the outside unobtrusive and inconspicuous - very charmingly decorated inside. The country house attracts corporate and convention gardens, which can be felt in some corners. Nevertheless, our room was lovingly decorated, even a small bottle of late-burger from the imperial chair is a welcome welcome in the room. Comfortable beds, very clean bathroom and central location in the imperial chair, although not directly in the location. To this a great, very lovingly designed breakfast from the sympathetic guesthouse - price-performance suited!

Central in the Imperial Chair

After a wedding that took place in the event barn of the country house, we stayed overnight in the country house for a night of wedding wine and were super happy. The whole staff was totally flexible and they responded to all our wishes, which are especially special in wedding societies. The rooms are very cozy, you get the impression that someone here has a big weakness for decoration. Even the breakfast was more than enough for us. We were all happy around!

Charming country house with great event scenes

The imperial chair is always worth a trip for a short trip. We chose the country house wedding wine because it's a very good place to start hiking. The room was plenty of room and it was very clean. It's modern and comfortable. The breakfast was everything the heart desires. Everything was fresh and very tasty. The house was very quiet, which we found very pleasant.

A good starting point for hiking at the Imperial Chair

The breakfast was supposed to be from 8 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. and it was still not all. We counted the taxis that had a business card, which unfortunately no one could display even though the hotel advertised it. Moreover, a single room costs as much as a double room.

Assessment

Our room was clean and newly furnished, so far as that's fine. You feel a little abandoned because there was only one other room besides us occupied on the weekend. But that's not a problem, too, we were quiet, despite the main street. Breakfast is disappointing because the sea is 'overlookable', the loaves seem to be counted (I think 2 per person), candles are on the tables and in the room, but they are not lit, and it's sea is quiet (because there are hardly any guests) and some depressing mood, because there is no music in the background.

Air up

Stayed with our family of 4 in the "Kaiserstuhlsuite" based on recommendation from a high-end restaurant in the area. Calling it a disappointment would be an understatement. The only reason for two stars is that the service staff got us some fans for the second night. First night was unbearably hot, right under the roof with no AC or ventilation. The bathroom is a joke. Just a bath tub without shower curtain or glass wall. The low ceiling wouldn't even allow me to stand straight in the tub. Just all around a waste of money. Unless you enjoy a very noisy place - right next to the train station and a busy street. There are much better places in the area to stay at. Don't do it!

Don't do it 

Nice rooms, lovely staff, great breakfast and beautiful views of beautiful landscapes! If you arrive later than 5pm the hotel will leave your keys in an envelope, because the reception is closed after that hour.

It's a great hotel.

We needed a place to stay after Dinner at Schwarzer Adler. The hotel seems disjointed, some things were up to date, some renovations were not quite finished (for example the shower).
The place is next to the mainroad and local rail station, so it can be noisy (especially if there is a local wine festival going on and young man celebrate being drunk right outside, I guess this was simply bad luck).
