There is a brothel flair but unfortunately the former brothel is so well equipped that we already considered turning it over in the entrance area.The rooms and especially the sanitation systems did not make it any better than worse.

Disappointing

Nice rooms, mostly very quiet, we felt very comfortable and the location was excellent. On foot, by bus and S-Bahn... everything was very easy to reach. Everyone was super nice and helpful. We got the best inside tips. Thank you a thousand! To mention the bar. There are ashtrays and there is subtle music all night long. The elevator is unique!

My only method of payment was a credit card or cash as an indication. The booking could not be made without charges, so I contacted them indicating that this would not be possible to make the payment. Then, at the time of closing the booking, they indicated that they needed a 50% advance payment to secure the booking, which could only be done through a German bank account or via paypal. The lady I spoke with on the phone had indicated that she could cancel the deal without any cost, that I could not be contacted without any cost, and that I could not be contacted by personal contact with the host. Unfortunately, I was not able to make a full written payment. There were several weeks of full charges, and the charges were settled, but the lawyer at the time of the first call to the court, who finally told me that he would not be able to pay the

Negative, not advisable, they only worry about money.

I had an utterly splendid time while staying at your humble hotel. The carpeted walls were a particular delight on the eye. And the mirrored ceiling is a must have piece of self critiquing equipment. However as with everything it was not all plain sailing. Upon arrival into the communal bathroom, I noticed a rather large painting of a ladies “part” bent over in my face at eye level. Rather nice you might think? Think again, upon examining this piece of modern art, my Johnson decided to stand dutifully to attention and I proceeded to have a friendly fire incident involving my chin and my own urine. May I suggest a more unattractive piece of artwork, a watercolour of a quiet english village maybe? Or a dog playing snooker? Or maybe even Jesus Christ our lord and saviour. This I feel, will prevent further pissy mishaps from happening in the future. Apart from that I had a wonderful time.

Dis ist das Autobahn

I ended up staying at Kiezbude last minute because my intial accomodations fell through. I tried to go to bed at 1:30 on Sunday morning but could not for the life of me because it was very loud outside and there were obnoxious people in the hostel. Thet even banged on my door several times. Ear plugs hardly helped. All of the noise subsided around 6 am but one group in th hostel was very loud while trying to get everyone to check out at 11. The hostel has a very kitschy aesthetic, carpeted floors in my room didn't look that clean and the place smelled like old cigarettes. Happy to have just checked out!

Nightmare if you want to get any sleep on the weekend

If you're looking for something unusual, you'll find it here. Hostel with the flair of a brothel (which once was) - all plush and colorful and somewhat clumsy. This doesn't have to deter you, but in the bar (functioning as a living room and located between the rooms) you can smoke, which makes it really smell like smoke everywhere (even in the rooms).

Never again!

We were in Hamburg for a short trip and we wanted a quick drive home after the party... the staff is really super nice and raw. It's super centrally located and really colorfully decorated.

In the middle of it

3 of us stayed here for a weekend. The location is excellent, very close to the Reeperbahn underground station. There are many bars nearby as well as a cafe bar underneath. The accommodation is basic and there is a lingering smell of cigarette smoke. The staff were friendly and offered advice of where to go. An excellent party destination 

Good budget accommodation 

We went back to our friends at the Kiezbude and the experience was as good as ever. The girls at the entrance were very friendly. It is not every day to drink a beer (2€) while checking-in practices are taking place! We also recommend the German/Polish restaurant next to the entrance.

Once again great experience

Don't be fooled by the entrance, this hostel is very special and very well maintained. We stayed in a private room by four people (dock and sink in the room, common toilet) and everything was perfect. First of all the location: in full repeerbahn (stop Sbahn repeerbahn at 200 meters not even that takes you straight to the station and airport) but very close to the port (600 meters) and the Altona district.
