Nice small hostel in the centre of Jena with a well equipped communal kitchen and friendly staff. Check-in and out were easy, annoying that we had to pay extra for bedding though! Otherwise very cheap! 
Quiet and suitable for families, friends, solo travellers or business trips. 

Nice hostel in the centre of Jena

The hostel is very centrally located in Jena and the booking goes very smoothly. Unfortunately when I arrived my mattress was not freshly worn, but full of black hair. I got a new bed sheet and I worn the bed again, but I did not apologize. I didn't feel good after that. I have no idea if the other person in the room slept in the bed the night before or if the cleaning was forgotten. On the unused other bed there was also some hair on top. The mattress of the high bed was also very tight. The lady at breakfast was very nice, on the other hand.

It goes like this - bed sheets full of foreign hair and the feeling of well-being was gone - bath instead clean

The hostel is close to the city center easy to find and in a quiet street. It was warm, comfortable and clean, the breakfast was great because you had a lot of different foods to choose from and in the amount you wanted to eat :)

Clean with good breakfast

Super clean rooms, everything available; one wouldn't think it is a hostel or a place to stay but a residence.
The best time in Jena although on cold Summer days is exactly due to Alpha One Hostel and its kind and cute staff, thank you guys :)

Cold Jena, Warm Welcome

Being in my thirties, I rarely stay in hostels anymore but from time to time am looking for a bargain. This was it. A fabulous deal on a private (single) room, in a convenient location (5-10 minute walk from great bars and restaurants, 15 minutes to the university where I was involved my week in Jena), with a hearty breakfast that fortified me until dinner: good fresh coffee, warm bread rolls, a cornucopia of meats and cheeses, some fresh veggies like tomatoes and cucumbers, etc. Bathrooms were well laid out and separated into WCs and showers, so I never felt like I was waiting around for what I needed. Bedrooms and bathrooms were more than reasonably clean -- one shower didn't drain, but otherwise it was on the upper end of the hostels I've stayed in (although I can't vouch for the dorms). I'd absolutely make the same choice again if I were back in Jena.

Clean and friendly with a great breakfast

Our stay in this hostel was okay so far. We travelled as a larger group over the weekend. The accommodation is simple, rooms are small, toilet and shower are on the hallway, but everything is very clean. I would like to mention in particular the individual design of the walls. Unfortunately, the hostel is very inflexible, unfriendly and polite. The other staff is fine.

Clean, interesting wall design, good breakfast, but very classy hostess

The rooms have been renovated, with TVs, new beds, guests on bicycles and dogs, no problem, there was a good, rich breakfast, a nice hostess who likes to give good food tips.

Pleasant hostel

I stayed here for a month in August. This hostel is in a quiet location in the middle of the city. It's very close to the university campus and shopping center. It's only a five-minute walk away. I've rented six bedrooms. I've met a lot of girlfriends who have rented the same room. I've also had a lot of interesting experiences. The room, the bathroom, the balcony, the kitchen were all very good and clean.

I've stayed here for 4 weeks. The hotel is close to city center, about 10 minutes and has a beautiful view also peaceful atmosphere. I rented a room with 6 beds and found a new friends, who were friendly. The bathrooms and toilets were clean and nice. The kitchen were lovely. loved it! But, the WiFi connection not so good and often disconnected. The cleaning services rarely came to clean the room, so we have to cleaned the room by ourselves and the staffs not so friendly. 

It was OK

I went to this hostel for 2 nights, the price per night was the lowest I found. At the same time, the hotel is located very close to the city center (about 10 minutes to the tower). The hostel was like a hostel, I got a room with 3 double-decker beds. The room is quite spacious. The interiors of the hostel are very pleasant. The bathrooms are very large. Free fairly fast wi-fi is provided, the staff is very kind and responsive. The disadvantages are probably three: the first is still a hostel, the second is more expensive, although you can bring your own, but you can also drive with your own bed linen, and the third is no closets in the room.
