Very nice, with a lot of attention to detail. Mostly furnished with Ikea/furniture. That makes you feel at home.;-) Self-catering hotel with usable kitchen, decent rooms and very nice people. I'm coming back!

Hotel with hostel charm

I stayed in this hotel for one night and it was a very nice experience. Even if I arrived late at night, they left the key in a box with a code and even we found a parking spot right in front of the hotel.

The room had a good size, very nice and the most important, very clean.

I did not use the common areas even if they looked very nice as well.

The hotel is 10min drive to Mörsdorf and the Geierlay Suspension Bridge.

I would definetly reccomend this hotel!

Great choice

We booked last minute.
Drove to Kastellaun and picked up our keys out of the box in front.

We where in room 11 top floor.
Thru the big clean kitch for self cooking and fridge.

Room 3 bedroom, own shower/toilet.
Very clean and just 100 meters walk from the REWE/NETTO supermarkets.

They have 2 parking spots around the back, but ones they are full, just park at the supermarket parkinglot.

Please other guest, while you are moving around the hotel... where a face mask

Location, clean and nice room

Very nice hotel, ideal location to visit the area, well thought out common areas, nickel rooms, comfortable beds price defying all competition: I paid 35 euros a single night!

Very nice hostel with easy check-in and best location. A little bright, so outside it's even quieter. Unfortunately the toilet wasn't as clean as you'd expect it to be (hair on the lid, traces of feces).

Any time again

I'll tell you something else. Nice self-service hostel. Check-in via SMS and key safe access code. Very large room, right in the center. At breakfast in the community room we met a theater troupe (Berliner Compagnie) who had a performance in Kastellaun the night before. Price is absolutely reasonable. very friendly contact with the owner.

Hostel with charm

Unfortunately, I had hoped much more based on the reviews. The room was fine for the price. Relatively small, but reasonable for the price. It was a shame I found that only one side of the bed was covered (though I've traveled alone, but this seems a bit grumpy to me). Unfortunately, right when I entered, I discovered about 20 black hairs of different lengths on my bed. This must definitely not happen - one hair can be once, but not so many! The bed then turned out to be a challenge: the thin, pierced mattress made every mattress feel clearly. The next day I found out that there were apparently foam mattresses (also thin that you could feel the pencil or the Latin), but also the next one in the hat, because if I jumped, all of the hygiene and hygiene would be good.

This boarding house is very much recommended. Very interesting reception, great community kitchen, everything very nice and comfortable. Central location, just perfect. We had an apartment and felt very comfortable.

Nice guest rooms or apartments in the centre of Kastellaun. Parking is available right next to the accommodation. Friendly, helpful and simple owners.

Nice accommodation in the middle of the village

We found this place after leaving a B&B in the Mosel after one night due to poor accommodation. So we decided to look outside the valley and found this place only 20 minutes from the Mosel. Kastellaun is surrounded by beautiful rolling countryside and is big enough to have all the amenities yet small enough to be rural.
Schlummerkiste is perfect budget accommodation. Clean comfortable and well priced.
The owner is very helpful and friendly.
We recommend a meal at the Taverne which is up at the ruined castle (Burg).
