As other reviewers have noted, the rooms are very modern and clean (mid-2019), and the staff/family running the place are very friendly, plus it's attached to a great Greek restaurant (do reserve a table; on the Saturday evening that we were there, we were glad we'd made booked seats when checking-in to the hotel, as it was full at 7 p.m. and we saw spontaneous visitors being turned away). We only stayed 1 night, but it's a place that can easily be a base for a longer visit; we didn't get a chance to look ourselves, but the map indicates that a hiking trail or two starts in the forest just across the state road in front of the hotel. (Checking their website just now, I see they actually offer 4-hour guided hikes along trails in the area)
Two things to beware of: if arriving from the south (i.e. heading northeast from nearby Rohrbach or the Kirkel-Neuhäusel district toward Kirkel proper), the map and also our GPS/navigator incorrectly indicated that the little parallel street where the hotel is located is a sort of half arc; that isn't true, as the middle of the "arc" is a farmyard, so way to reach the hotel is the little street portion directly in front of it (i.e., the northern access to the "arc").
Second, when arriving for check-in, look into the restaurant first to see if they can handle you there; while there's a reception desk on the upper floor that can be reached via steps on the outside of the building, it was unstaffed.

Cosy, out-of-the-way Saarland get-away

A friendly home, a comfortable and clean room, a good dinner at the hotel's restaurant, a very decent breakfast and all for a reasonable price.

All right for a night out.

RIGHT, despite being close to a busy road and railway line, you don't hear anything about it. Easy to reach from the motorway and enough parking spaces [even if the rest is well visited by the sea at night:-) I can't say anything about food - we haven't tried it yet]. The rooms are clean, but not very big [note: 107 has a roof in the bathroom, which makes it very narrow]. Of course you can always find a hair in the soup: there is no safe or minibar or phone in the room and the main door was always open for 3 days without anyone at the reception [Lock door]. But the price is knockable in the circle!

Little piece of jewelry near the highway

We arrived very late just before the restaurant closed and they still agreed to cook us a meal. Charming welcome they come out with a few words in French but English or Russian is preferred. On the bedroom side it's big it's nice clean sdb. Only criticism is that the bed is a little too soft. A basic industrial buffet lunch but served with a smile. I recommend. The hotel is stuck between the railway and the highway where the noise is limited by the good windows but if it was lost in the countryside we wouldn't have gone there.

Charming stage hotel

We were briefly looking for an overnight breakfast and were very kindly greeted here! We were explained how the hotel worked, where what to find, we were also led to the room with explanations of room layout - everything was done in detail and very kindly. The room and bathroom were very clean - everything was new and not cheap - we put a lot of effort into it here!! We ate at the restaurant and were very kindly served there - it was also well prepared with fresh goods and tasted good. We went to the hotel's traffic connection the night before and slept very well. We went to breakfast in the morning and ate the delicious snack here - a breakfast for the same 5 euro night - and we would have bought it in a hotel and have bought it in a very nice way - and we would have bought it in a very good way in a very good way!

A pleasant surprise

This small hotel is one if the best overnight stops we have stayed in. The staff are so friendly and helpful, The room was immaculate, very spacious and well kitted out. The bathroom was excellent. We had an amazing dinner in the grill restaurant and breakfast the following morning was just as good.

Great Stop-over

Stayed here last week.  It was pouring down with rain.  We had a great welcome amazing room & above all great staff & food was superb . Greak food at its best.  All cooked to perfection & great portion sizes.  Can definitely recommend 4th his place

small very clean hotel. rooms are very modern and lovely. the staff is very friendly.
hotel also has a very good greek restaurant. the food is amazing it worth a stop. 
pet friendly and very good priced for what you get. we will stop there again.

Very newly renovated rooms great bathroom delicious breakfast especially the very nice personal greeting we liked great team we were for one night and were very satisfied one can also by the way very well eat Greek in the restaurant

Good accommodation for travel

From the outside, you can't be put off. The rooms are freshly renovated and modern. We had booked a double room with breakfast and dog. All for about 87€ a night! The reception was very friendly and helpful! A water bottle was ready on the room. We went to the outlet to shop right after check-in. This was the reason for our visit. Even though we had problems with our room card, we were explained very friendly! The next morning we had a delicious breakfast at the Hotel Archilles. There was everything that touches the heart. We can only recommend the Hotel Archilles further!
