We felt very comfortable. The room was large enough and even had a small balcony. Everything was clean and attractive. The location was a little outdoors, but by bus you can get to the city center quickly. We also walked once - that was fine too. The breakfast was very delicious with fresh bread and fruit. Price/performance is absolutely right here! We would love to come back!

Nice boarding house with a great breakfast

We spent a week in the Koglin Pension, were warmly received and felt comfortable. The rooms were clean and very comfortable, we looked forward to the simple but very good breakfast every morning. We liked Lübeck very well, but the nearby beaches were also an experience, a short trip to Hamburg is also recommended. Even if the temperatures were cool for us, the Baltic Sea is always worth a trip.

All the time!

Situated in a slightly scruffy suburb across the river from the ancient city centre, this place does itself no favours at first glance. The main staircase is also very knocked about and in need of some TLC, but the rooms are nice enough and have everything you need. The breakfast room is lovely and so is the excellent breakfast! Free parking right outside is a big advantage, and the landlady is really nice. The walk into the centre takes about 25 minutes, or there is a bus apparently. Good value - recommended.

Don't be put off by the street or staircase!

We spent two nights with our family in Lübeck, the comfortable four-bedroom was very spacious and clean, and the breakfast prepared with great care and choice was particularly noteworthy.

A good boarding house with a delicious breakfast

We stayed 3 nights in this clean, affordable guesthouse. The location in an outdoor neighbourhood is quiet, the city is easily accessible by bus or on foot (half an hour). Lovely breakfast. We would like to stay here again on another visit from Lübeck.

Price/performance match - you feel comfortable here

I was looking for a cheap place to stay with my parents in Lübeck and found this boarding house on TripAdvisor. Perfect choice. The boarding house is really to be recommended in terms of price-performance. The rooms were spacious, convenient and cleanly furnished. The bathroom was modern with a large shower. Breakfast with a choice of fresh bread and bread, freshly cooked egg, juice, sausage and cheese, and jam choices, etc. for 5 really luxurious. If I consider that the larger hotel chains charge for the breakfast, e.g. € ~20 euros... but the breakfast in the guesthouse is not affordable for us.

Good and cheap.

Our room was immediately occupied by a delightful basement in a building that reminds us so much of an English school as seen in the illustrated books. After a nice sleep under soft plumes, we went down the narrow wooden staircase to the breakfast room. The table was carefully equipped and the lady came right away with the fresh, scented bread. We found ourselves very well. There was everything we were looking for for us and our 5-year-old when we were traveling: silence, cleanliness and a great breakfast. To get to the center you have to take the bus, but with German punctuality it is certainly not a problem!

A perfect place to stay.

The hotel lies in a quiet neighborhood, not too far from the city center. There are some parking spots before the hotel, and you can put your bikes in a garage. The owners are friendly, the rooms basic but clean and comfortable. 
Breakfast costs 4 euros, but is really large and good to start a day with, I highly recommend it! The breakfast room is also quite modern and very light. 
Only disadvantage: it's quite difficult to darken the room (but I admit I am particularly sensitive to that).

The hotel is located in a quiet area not far from the city centre. There are a few parking spaces in front of the hotel, and you can accommodate bicycles in a garage. The owners are friendly, the rooms are simple, but clean and comfortable. The breakfast costs 4 euros, but it is quite rich and good to start the day with - I highly recommend it! The breakfast room is also quite modern and very bright. The only downside: it is difficult to darken the room (but I am also particularly light-weight). In any case, a good price-for-service ratio!

Good value for money!

I stayed at this place 2 nights in may and I loved it. The woman, I believe she was the owner, was the most helpful and kind woman I've ever met. 
Breakfast was included and it was ok, small but enough.
The only thing is that you have to walk about 25 minutes to get to the historic center and it's not that close to the main station, which it could be a problem in winter.   Knowing all that I highly recommend it, the neighbourhood is very quiet and the place lovely.
