Very friendly and helpful owners who are very friendly in running the hotel. Unfortunately, the high-speed Internet was only available in the hallway and not in the room. The rural situation was disturbed by the noise of the airplane and from 6:00 a.m. the cars run past the hotel. The food is fine, but unusually the additional fees are charged separately. Breakfast is served but was not bookable during our stay, as we would have been the only breakfast guests. Also very unusual was the way of the Strafandro if you didn't follow the prescribed regulations, such as smoking prohibition. You can also communicate this more nicely. In fact, we would no longer be communicating here.

Do not conform to our ideas

On the journey from south to north we found this country guesthouse - the oldest workshop in Raststatt in an idyllic village area. The food was super delicious - lots and very tasty for a good price. Beer and wine are also very good for tired travelers. The environment is more diverse than you think - with bike path along the Rhine. The rooms are simple, clean and quiet. The breakfast is tailored to the special wishes and top!! Chef and Chef take care of the most personally!! Here you can also endure it a couple of checks longer. It's a shame we were just on the way. See recommended!!

It's delicious and friendly!!

This gasthaus is a must stop for us whenever we are in Germany.  The chef prepares traditional dishes with an updated presentation that are absolutely delicious.  Fresh salads with buried treasures of marinated potato salad and veggies, crisp and tender schnitzels, perfectly grilled bratwurst, and creamy ice cream with tart, hot raspberry sauce...all of your favourites are here.  Owners are exceptionally friendly and service is beyond compare.  Next time, we may also have to stay in the hotel.  Outdoor terrace also looks inviting for a few beers.  Worth a trip to Wintersdorf!

Delicious Food, Wonderful Service

We stayed here on the way back, and we were really surprised. Beautiful old country inn. Clean and well maintained room, great bathroom. A clean sink and great food. Cattle filet in Port wine sauce, vegetables and crispy french fries. The chef can cook if you let him. And the hosts are nice too. Good price-performance. We'll definitely come by again.

Clean and delicious cuisine

It's the third time I've stayed in this little gasthaus, and I have to say it never let me down, it's small, but it has everything you need, clean rooms with private bathroom, great restaurant with regional cuisine, delicious beer and a really good buffet for breakfast, great value for money.

We went for a walk in Wintersdorf and had lunch with Tom at the cross. The cross is a beautiful country inn with a nice interior. The owner and the staff were very friendly and hospitable. Our food, including the salad, was super delicious. Here is the price/performance ratio! In conclusion: highly recommended!

Delicious food

Great beer, really good value for money. The food is super and well priced, breakfast very good. Rooms clean and nicely presented, Beds comfy, free wifi, friendly owners, highly recommended. Should be in the hotels section....particularly recommend the schnitzel very good indeed. 

Great Hotel

As a family of four, we took a two-week bicycle tour through southern Germany and Alsace in the summer of 2015. The last stop before returning by train was Rastatt. Through a booking portal, we found the Landgasthof Kreuz at Tom's in the nearby Wintersdorf, and we felt comfortable staying in the oldest crafthouse in the town. A pleasantly renovated building - historic flair outside, inside with adequate and modern rooms. The price-performance ratio is true, the guests are friendly and open to business.

Beautiful country inn with tasty cuisine

Kreuz Beim Tom is a beautiful post-and-beam guesthouse dating back to 1699 with lots of character. The rooms, however, are very modern, very clean, comfortable and cozy. There is a pub/ restaurant with outdoor seating which we, unfortunately, did not get the chance to check out. There is also a patio for guests. Breakfast was very good and plentiful, even on the day that there were just the two of us staying for breakfast! The owner was very friendly, as well as the lady who helped me on the phone.  I would definitely stay there again.

Hosts Tom and Diana are the most welcoming couple, they provide an excellent hotel for an overnight stay close to a Rhine river crossing . The rooms are clean,bright and very well presented.Their restaurant has a comprehensive menu to suit all tastes.(even a translation available into English) would rate this  as one of the BEST family run hotels we have stayed in. Their rates are very competitive and give excellent value.
Always our stopover on the journey over in Germany .
