We visit the Hotel KATHARINA regularly one or two times a year. The owner is always friendly, the rooms are clean and the breakfast is adequate. Who is looking for a fair price stay in SGH is right here. There is not much to say about the place. We lived here until the turn of the century. Like many others, we have apparently migrated. An overage of the inhabitants is everywhere. After 19:00 the downtown is as if extinct. To be mentioned is the restaurant George. The restaurant offers an unexpected quality. The restaurant is less than 10 minutes' walk from KATHARINA.

Ascension

We chose the hotel because it was beautifully located in the city and we could easily reach the restaurant where we had planned our celebration from there. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very sweet and clean. The furniture is uninhabited and in good condition. Also in the bathroom you could find everything your heart desires. The breakfast was also very good. It was a small buffet but everything your heart desires. All in all, a nice little hotel where you can feel comfortable!

Sweet hotel.

I have been using this hotel during a company trip. We reserved almost all rooms because this was the only hotel in Sangerhausen which had sufficient rooms available. The hotel is a bit outdated although this is still common in this part of Germany. The hotel as well as the room is clean. breakfast is simple. Fine to use when traveling and for a night.

I was a customer for the photo shoot. The photographer was attacked very rude by the head of the house in my presence. He demanded extra money and disturbed private affairs. It was cold and quite unfriendly. Instead of serving the guests of the house. Maybe serving coffee or drinks, the owner of the house insisted on his 6:00 p.m. party. Check in somewhere else.

We stayed 5 nights here for a conference at the rosarium, which not to be missed.  The rooms were typcvial small, but nice, no lift and we were on the top floor.  Unfortunately we also hit near 100 degree weather and no AC or fans.  First night was miserable.  Rest of the stay was good.  There is a small bar next door to visit with the locals.  Most hotels in this town no don't have, and generally don't need AC.  Breakfast was simple but good.  If I return to Sangerhausen, I would stay here again.  Staff was very nice, English a bit trying at times.

I can only say good things about the house, I was doing business in the area and was really well served, everything as I expected.

It is a nice, small, cozy hotel near the centre of the city and a short walk to the Rosarium.The rooms are very clean and perfectly adequate.The reception was very friendly and the hotel is also well organised.
