We stay here every five years when the documenta takes place. The rooms are big and furnished. Breakfast is perfectly fine.

Satisfied all around

For a business trip, I booked a stopover here. The reception was very friendly and checking in was straightforward. I found a very clean room and a comfortable bed. The bathroom is well equipped with fountain etc. The shower cabin is one of the kind where you can sit. On the way we had 36 degrees in the shade. The hostess brought me two ice-cold beers in a refrigerator and a large bottle of water, which I didn't even have to pay for. The breakfast was very tasty and ample. The restaurant I couldn't test because it was on my arrival day. But I was emailed by mail already. It's worth noting that this hotel is used directly to church day. If I come back to the area, I check in again.

It's a super friendly hotel.

We had a double room. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The shower was in good condition, the water was warm and not dried. The room was more like a one-room apartment without a kitchen. So nice big, bright and furnished with a sofa and desk. Also, wireless access is available without registration and extra cost. The speed is good and available throughout the house. The breakfast buffet offers salami, cheese, staff,.... as well as rice, jam, bread, cocoa, coffee,... Also, water was thought of, which is most important to me personally besides drinks. The dining room is open in the evening. The food is very good and offered to everyone, and meat and vegetarian, and a large salad, which is also helpful in case we come back to Kassel again, and if we come back to Kassel again, it will be free.

Great rooms and a fair price

Wow superb hotel. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Excellent parking and rooms are huge and clean. We and our two children have had a wonderful stay. The food is amazing and really tasty. If you need a good hotel near Kassel this place is the best. 

Superb little gem

Fritze's Golden Stern is a lovingly run family hotel, located near the Documenta-Stadt Kassel, in the Habichtswald Natural Park. The Wilhelmshöhe mountain park can be reached by car comfortably and without a motorway by land road. The hotel, together with the village church, on which it is  a rare peculiarity  directly planted, forms the historic core of the village harbour equipped with specialist houses. We were surprised to find instead of a room a complete holiday apartment with living quarters, bathrooms and bedrooms.

Family-run hotel with great attention to detail

The accommodation is characterized by a free parking space, a good regional kitchen, and a very nice hostess. We got a double room consisting of two rooms. We were here because of the proximity to Kassel, where we visited the Documenta.

The room in this hotel was very large and spacious. In addition, there was a small comfortable seating or working area. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was very good. The ingredients were all fresh and appetizing. There were also sufficient free parking spaces available at the accommodation.

Comfortable hotel with good value for money

Very nice host, room impeccable and breakfast made with a lot of love. A tip in the Kassel area. It seems to be a sought after place for motorcyclists, cyclists and hikers.
