Very basic. But nice and cheap. Enough for one night stay on long journey. Rooms are very clean. Railway very close, you can hear it, but i think there’s no trains after 11pm. Car park is paid €2 for 24h which is not bad. Close to the city center. In general, my big yes. I think this will be my spot for stay, and I stay in Soest twice a year.

People chatting outside until 1am. Rowdy guests. Loud tv until 1am. No sleep. People leaving at 2.25 am woke us up. Cobwebs under the shelf by the window and spiders. Cobwebs under the radiator. Thick dust on top of the wardrobe. Lumpy pillows.
Singing till 11.04 pm. Squealing. Never again.

Noises

We would stay here anytime, it was very nice and very clean, the location was great, only about five minutes from downtown, and there are great restaurants.

Very nice motel.

I quickly decided to book this motel. Rooms are convenient, big bathroom with shower. Rooms with parking space in front of the door, perfect. The only annoying thing was the fan with heat exchanger, but you can turn it off.

Practical and good

Very clean apartment, price is more than fine. Breakfast at the nearby hospital a bit of a habit but good for the price.

Good and cheap

We chose this motel after reading the ratings and reviews, and it was the least expensive hotel of the 8 we stayed at in Europe.  It was also the most basic of them.  We reserved our room months in advance, and didn't have to prepay.  We did have to pay upon arrival.
It is about 800 m from the train station and an easy walk along the Wall Strassen.  The motel was very clean with a modern bathroom and lots of hot water in the shower.  As is common in Europe, the double bed was two singles, but very comfortable.  The TV and free internet worked well.  There was no fridge or safe.  There is only one bed lamp, plus a ceiling lamp.  There was no facial tissue, and only one hair/body wash container, which was in the shower.  There is parking available, 3 euros per day, 10 per week.
This is a European hotel, so the only cover on the bed is a very good comforter. This can be hot.  You might want to bring a sheet and maybe a light blanket with you. Our room was on the ground floor and we couldn't open the window very wide.  Also, with only hair/body wash you might want to bring shampoo and conditioner with you.
We arrived before 2 and tried to use the automated check in.  The machine couldn't process my credit card.   At 2 the office opened and we were able to register - no problem with my card.  The lady in the office was very friendly but her English was limited.  Office hours are 8 - 10 a.m. and 2 - 6 p.m.  If there are regular problems with machine registartion, I would be hesitant about arriving after these hours.
They did have an arrangement with the hospital cafeteria and a nearby cafe for reduced prices.
The hotel is about a 3 minute walk to the Osthofentor and the start of the old city wall.  It is a 10 - 15 minutes walk to downtown ending beside the Patrokoli Dom, or to the Pond and tourist office, and about 10 min to the Wiesenkirche.

Inexpensive, but

We paid 40 euros for each double room, so I didn't really have any expectations in the country. The rooms were clean and convenient and nicely furnished, the bathroom was big enough, also clean and very nice. We just couldn't get it right with the air conditioning. That would be a helpful description. Check in at the vending machine, no breakfast in the house, but good cafes near the old town. We had rooms 11 and 12.

Great way to stay in the city center of Soest

Second time we've stayed here, first was in June 2015 and we thought the motel must have been brand new.  We would have thought the same again if we didn't know different, it's very clean and obviously well maintained.
Group of 7 motorcyclists on a 2 night stay to visit the Dambuster Dams, we tried to book twin rooms but none were available, an email confirmed that the doubles are two singles pushed together and we could split them if we wanted but to return room how it was before leaving. Breakfast across the road at the hospital cafe is great and Soest is a lovely city.
Intend to return again soon with my family and probably will be back with friends at a later date.

Great value and location

You get what you pay for at 29 Euro per night.Room functional but very clean.Ticked all the boxes for me.Used it as a base for visiting nearby Mohne Dam on 75th Anniversary of raid.No tea or coffee facility but small machine available vending drinks at 1 euro and choccy bars at 1 euro. You get a card which gives discount at the Hospital(Marie Kranken) over road.I got a cracking 3 course meal for 6 Euro 90 consisiting of Soup,beef main coursewith veg and potatoes and a sweet and drink.Set me up for day.
