We were three on a short motorcycle trip to Hesse and Thuringia and can best recommend Sontra as a base. From here many beautiful routes and landscapes of the region are easily accessible. Kirchtraum is the dream of motorcyclists. Own parking lot, sun terrace, cozy restaurant with delicious, high-quality food and very well-groomed, purposefully and modernly furnished rooms (bakers do not need a snack) are among our ideas of a suitable time of creation and strenuous day trips. This house with its very friendly, attentive and skilled employees is exemplary for good gastronomy. We come back after seeing.

Highly recommended for motorcyclists

Cherry Room is a very nice guesthouse quietly located with beautiful views. The rooms are colourfully decorated and you have everything you need. A comfortable bed, small seats, enough storage space, good lighting and a modern bathroom with shower cabin and shampoo and shower dispenser. Every day 2 small bottles of mineral water are put into the room free of charge. We had rooms with breakfast booked. We especially enjoyed the extensive offer and the kind kind of staff. You get bread, sausage, cheese, jam, corn, eggs, tomatoes, fruit and, of course, coffee or. Also, the evening around the restaurant was very tasty. We were happy to come back and enjoyed tea.

Super relaxed days in the cherry room, very friendly staff, nice rooms, delicious food with seasonal offerings! There are fine hiking destinations and picturesque towns nearby. Thank you very much!!

A short break

Despite the current situation and the restrictions, we wanted to get some delicious food again. What can I say, the food was super delicious. The order on the phone was already extremely nice. When you picked up, you were received very politely and casually (according to the Corona rules, of course). All in all, a very successful dinner despite Corona. So stick around, we order more often now and then we'll like to come to dinner if possible.

Super delicious food, very nice staff

We went to the cherry room in Sontra on recommendation, and the menu didn't offer daily delicacies, but always cherries, and the service was good, and the food was good, and the only drawback was the noise in the gas chamber, and we thought it was too loud.

Very friendly service awaits the guest at check-in The staff are very concerned about the well-being of the guests. The kitchen is regional and fresh. The rooms are clean and spacious. Breakfast is rich and fresh. Always happy.

A good starting point for trips to the area

The guesthouse was visited by us for a dinner. The rooms are small, very decorative and cozy. One can enjoy a relaxed conversation at the table and the atmosphere, although the restaurant was well occupied with guests, was quiet and appealing. The service staff was very attentive, hospitable and at the same time decent friendly. So during our meal selection we were kindly alerted to the fresh daily variations that matched our wishes. We chose a beer lampbretta as a starter and as the main course chicken broth served with beer flavored pasta, cocktails and salad plates. These beverages, pre-dishes, dishes and main courses were served at the right time to serve, and reservations were made to suit our needs. The restaurant was also well suited for a wide range of dishes, and the dining room was well suited for a wide range of guests.

Comfortable hostel with appealing food in a pleasant atmosphere

It's a lovely little guest house with four guest rooms, and the ambience is classically cozy and loving, and the food is quality, homemade, with a little whistle, and the meat and lots of products come from the area, and the breakfast is richly made, and there are lots of nice little products like delicious marmalades and liquor to bring along.

The second time there, and I liked it even better than the first time, the team's perfectly tuned in from the server, and the food's fresh and from the regional kitchen.

Small but fine.

A relatively young but very dynamic team has given this old-school inn a new impetus and thus breathed new life into the gastronomy of Sontra, which in my opinion was urgently needed. The premises are very clean, subtle and tastefully furnished, even the piano (grand piano) is in the large dining room to underline the atmosphere for the celebration.
