Karis Hotel

Very nice hotel, very close to the center and the port of Kos, but in a quiet way! Basic room but functional and clean. Kind, sweet and friendly staff, I have never found such kindness anywhere else. I had a chance to talk more with Thrassivoulos, who every night recommended me a typical place to eat! It was fantastic! They also speak quite well Italian. The only negative note is the lack of breakfast! If I had to go back to Kos I would choose this hotel again soon.

It's like home!

The perfect room, modern and spacious. Gentle and available staff. Daily room cleaning, clean sheets, balcony and air conditioner, clean rooms, perfect bathroom.

An exceptional stay

Really appreciated by our italian couple for the central position and the kind family that manage it. Very clean! No traffic rumor. You can find all its possible and you can fell like you are in home place

Hotel very good, in center, economy but smart and family friendly

We visited Kos in a very busy period so most hotels were full. We found rooms in this small, family run hotel, on a quiet street, 5 minutes to the port. It has a very convenient location and is a simple but comfortable and clean hotel. The rooms are small, however the sheets and towels are very clean and the room is cleaned every day. There is A/C, a small fridge, tv, a little balcony with a line for your wet swimsuits and enough cupboards to put your things. No frills, so bring your own shampoo or buy it in Kos. No breakfast is served but there are plenty of places nearby. 

Small and simple but very convenient 

arrived late evening  all inclusive so had to wait till the morning to try the food breakfast wasn't very good the English choice was no good didn't expect a full English as its a Muslim country but the eggs wasn't cooked properly I didn't eat that morning and all the other meals wasn't much better 
we went with jet2 and complained about the food they said it was fine but looking at jet2 web page reviews most people complained about it 
NEXT the only bar was next to the pool so it was either sit next to the pool and listen to screaming kids 
at the night there was no entertainment at all the few seats at the bar was next to the exit to the BEACH so you couldn't have a quite drink 
on day 2 of our 11 day holiday we moved hotels at and it was the best thing to do

the food was discusting

Good hotel, close to downtown. Clean, tidy and nice. Some old fashioned decor in the room, but good air conditioning and Wi-Fi. Too bad they do not serve breakfast.Nice little balcony. Some traffic noise, but not so bad. Nice staff who contributed as well as they could so that our stay was as good as possible. Small bathroom, but good with hot water.

Nice hotel.

This is a simple, decent, cheap hotel. And you can take that as a compliment. If you stay in Kos city and you don't belong to the loud party people, but you just want a decent bed, a clean bathroom and a really friendly reception, you'll find what's otherwise missing in the city. Close enough to be in the center or the port in a few minutes, too. The back rooms are quite quiet, which to the front should also be much more comfortable than the ones we already had in more expensive houses a little further ahead (no pubs around). The furniture is not very new, but well maintained. Nice. recommendation.

Value of the price - in a positive sense

The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The rooms are updated, taken care of very well.  Beds are comfortable, AC works well, plenty of hot water. Good attention to detail. The owners are very nice and helpful. Good location 5-10 min walk to harbor. Quiet street straight up from harbour, easy to find. I would definitely stay here again.

Great Greek Hotel

The KARIS was a great place for me to stay as a single woman traveller. The owners are kind, friendly people and the place is spotlessly clean. My very pleasant room was serviced everyday with clean towels and linen, bins emptied and loo rolls replenished. Everything works well: the air con is good, the little fridge and hairdryer are useful and there was even a discreet washing line with pegs on the airy balcony. The wifi is excellent - fast and reliable. It is a very short walk to the port/ town centre and not much further to the main beach. The hotel is on an urban street on which there a several recommended restaurants so it is easy to go out for a meal. This is a safe hotel run by trustworthy people - it 's not glitzy but then you are not paying 5 star prices.

A very respectable, family run hotel in an excellent location.

The manager is almost always in a bad mood, even if he doesn't mind what you say, he talks to you on the back when he leaves. The night guard doesn't speak English and is not kind. After arranging our arrival by phone at 6:30 in the morning we had to wait almost until 8:00, because the guard didn't want us to leave the room that we had arranged with the manager of the facility, who not only showed up at 6:30 as he had communicated by phone, but didn't answer his cell phone because he was sleeping. Once he woke up he arrived at a hotel unattended and infuriated. All this after we had boarded the boat as it came from another island.
