I booked this hotel for business trip reasons. It’s not a class hotel, the rooms are separate in own building’s which I prefer more! The rooms are very big and includes also kitchen with defroster and strove. The bath is very clean, the restaurant with delicious Greece speciality. Only no restaurant. In the sum, i would recommend. 

During my business Trip

All the rooms are equipped with kitchen furniture. New and modern furnishings. A varied breakfast. I enjoyed Tiropitakia, a Greek specialty. But not least the cakes (salads and sweets), doughnuts, cornetti, plumcakes,.... A perfect cleaning service.

He deserves four stars.

We arrived in Patras from the Venice ferry very late, rather very early in the morning but we managed to find this rather unprepossessing hotel located on the old main road to Athens without too much difficulty, despite the dark and our tiredness.

Thank Goodness we did! The night manager was extremely hospitable and very understanding as he escorted us to one of the recently refurbished chalet-style, very quiet rooms in the central, pedestrian courtyard.

We were comfortable, quiet and enjoyed our short stay. Breakfast was OK but nothing to write home about. There is free street parking and, next door, there is a useful supermarket with an ATM. A good place to start our Greek adventure after 37 hours on the ferry!

A welcome surprise

Really tidy and brand new apartments. Convenient spot close by Patra and the port without too much traffic or noise. The university hospital right behind you and so many lovely coffee bars by the unbelievable bridge to spend time for leisure . The staff always friendly and the breakfast really home made. Enjoy your time there!

The Rio experience!

Great and modern apartment in the colour of a dove, perfect bathing room, very clean, with small kitchen, very nicely furnished, very quiet, very casual, German-speaking reception with many tips for our next trip around Greece.

Perfect location for the region around Patras

The room was good and specious but when you go in a hotel what you want and need is to find hospitality. All we found is the opposite and the reception lady was really unfriendly and did not have any manners .No clue of speaking in third person and she was really irritating. Whenever we were going back to our room after a very tiring day we were thinking that we will have to deal with her. All we wanted was to rest and they never left us to do so. The price for the hotel was not worth because it is 10 min far away from the capital city and it is not worth at all. In conclusion, I feel really sry and pettiness because the rooms were really good but still in such a big market you can find somewhere else good rooms and people with manners .So I do not suggest anyone to live the same experience I did.

Sad memory

This is an oasis of calm situated off the old Athens road, a busy and unattractive strip of highway. The Hotel is currently being extended and the cnstruction works are ongoing. Ninetheless, the hotel continues to operate with a degree of calm professionalism. I was there for a meeteing in the nearby university and did not se the facilities of the breakfast room. Nor is there a dining room on site. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed. The standard of cleanliness are exceptionally high. The rooms are suitable for self-accommodation, with a small kitchen included. Beds were comfortable and the bathroom was very well-appointed.Facilities are basic here, but of a good standard. Staff were exceptionally helpful and accommodating. Location is fair - for journeys into Patras, a taxi is required. 

Calm oasis in Patras

This hotel is such a winner. Great professional behavior by the administration and soooo clean. 
Polite personnel is a great plus to this beautiful hotel.
Total recommended for this value added place. They give solutions to amy need like we had to be plus one more person and they just added a spare bed into the room to please us with a very logical price.
Will i go there again ? Hell yeah.

excellent in many ways

Hotel in a strategic location in Rio, on the main road to the Athens motorway. Very clean and organized rooms with all amenities. Category 3 star deserved. Breakfast very abundant and varies with breakfast possibilities also English as well as Greek.

Great hotel for the category.

During the nine days we travelled through mainland Greece by car. We tried to choose hotels based on the principle of the optimal combination of price and quality. We stayed in 6 hotels. We thought Castello was the best of them on this trip. The friendly attitude of the English-speaking staff, spacious modern rooms with even a minimal, equipped kitchenware. Nearby is a good supermarket where we bought everything for breakfast. Free indoor parking, well-maintained territory. Maybe not everyone will like the location of the hotel, but we only stayed one night and were conveniently close to the Rio Bridge.
