I am writing this review as I checked other reviews here before booking and I couldn't believe that no one had uploaded the real state of the hotel room, at least the one that they gave me.

It seems that some rooms are not renovated and looked terrible and not clean and resulted in us not even staying in the hotel and leaving. I have to note that we payed for the room even though we didn't stay. 

The hotel failed to inform us that they are giving us not renovated room or that some of their rooms are not as the pictures. In all the websites booking, here they only post the renovated rooms which means we expected something completely different. 

The room was in a terrible state including the bed, spider webs, the bathroom and all of the above made us drive 3 more hours back and leave.   

The room was that bad that we left without staying even though we payed.

We stayed at Asteria for four nights as a family of four.  At check in we were greeted warmly by the hard working and friendly front staff, Vlassi  and Niki. We found the hotel to be very clean and the double room was spacious.  The food at the pool bar was delicious and convenient. Anna by the pool bar was always pleasant and very helpful.  We highly recommend this hotel.  Thanks for a great stay.

Fantastic

My friends and I had a great time at Asteria Hotel!!! The rooms, the view, the breakfast and all the staff!!! But there was also la mia carina Pigi, the receptionist, always with a big smile for all of us and willing to answer in any question!! Grazie per tutto!!!

Meraviglioso!!!

Everything perfect, a nice room with a view of the bay, a great breakfast, a nice swimming pool, a spacious and clean room, friendly and available staff, breakfast served in a nice pool room

Great hotel, nice location and swimming pool.

Hotel renovated in interior furnishings, modern and essential that give a great feeling of well-being during the stay. Perfect location, close to the center of Tolo but away from the chaos of the main street. Clean structure and staff very friendly and available, there is a reserved parking lot.

Renovated and very comfortable hotel

We made a last minute decision to return to Tolo after 25 years.
From arrival to departure the hotel covid arrangements left us with 100% confidence in our personal safety.
Our room on the third floor was well appointed with sea and Country views. 
Breakfast was bought to the table a large selection of cooked items, bread. Pastries cold meats etc. 
Tolo itself as everywhere is suffering from the economic effects of the virus.

Exceeded our Expectations

Slightly overrated hotel.

Pros (+):
1) Nice breakfast
2) All hotel areas were clean and tidy
3) Very polite hotel staff
4) 10min. on-foot proximity to the seaside (eventhough not in the main seaside of Tolo) 

Cons (-):
1) Rather bad bed mattress' quality. In the morning we experienced our back in pain
2) Wooden parts (e.g. room doors) are old requiring replacement (or special maintenance treatment).
3) Τhe insulation of rooms was practically non-existent. There is AC unit in each room but it should be turned always on (if not, after 15min. the room was becoming extremely hot)   
4) Small swimming pool (it's ok during low season periods)

Nice accommodation option (but with room for further improvement...)

Highly overrated for the services advertised, room do not meet the expectations and  some staff had a bit of an attitude. There was an effort to resolve the issues occurred but overall below average experience and overall not recommended whatsoever!

Unpleasant experience

The hotel is well placed to visit the city. The pool is nice. Parking places are limited. Arrived during Covid19, the service is minimal, the rooms are cleaned only on request. After inquiring at the reception, a A4 format panel placed next to informs the traveler. No information about the cleaning conditions in the rooms or on the website.

Staying

Let’s be honest: after 3 months in a COVID-19 hangover, anything involving sun, sand, drink(s) in the hand would be magical. 

We booked Asteria on a whim expecting little more than basic wifi and a sea view. We were rewarded with a great spot and of course, the killer Greek charm; the employees are responsive, kind, and always ready to assist. From wine bottle openers (very important) to fresh towels and insta-ice, we couldn’t ask for more. Our room was clean, well appointed and more importantly, organized. 

The hotel has a fantastic (and clean) pool and I tested it by doing an extensive amount of cannonballs. But if you need a break from the chlorine, you’re only a quick hop (ca 5 min) from „Club Med“ and the main drag.
