When we arrived, we were kindly welcomed by the receptionist who guided us to our bungalow. There, we noticed that the bungalow was very clean and clearly newly renovated. The bungalow was equipped with air conditioning, a fridge, a range cooker, free WiFi etc.. There was a swimming pool very close to the bungalow. The brealfast was quite nice.

There was, however, one thing I didn't really like so much: one could constantly smell urine in the bathroom.

Nevertheless, I think I'll go back there if I ever go to Tolo again.

I enjoyed my stay very much.

The rooms were not clean at all. There is no shampoo or shower gel, even though they write they provide them. The water  was cold. The only positive was the location, near to the center but in a quiet area.

Would not stay again 

When remotely booked this hotel, we were a little bit worried about some aspects revealed by some reviews, but on the spot we have found them rather subjective or based on a weird taste. 
First of all, the pool is in a perfect condition, perfect size and spotlessly clean, maybe last year's review should be drastically revised...
The tennis court (hard) is the only one in Tolo, well maintained and, most of all, it's free! A fantastic bonus for players!
Wi-Fi is excellent allover the property, not only in public spaces, as the owner strangely choose to advertise this facility on booking.com.
Since we lived in an apartment in Phaistos bungalows, 50 m. away from the hotel itself, I cannot comment about the rooms in the hotel. But the bungalow is in a perfect condition, brand new inside, flat tv, nice little kitchen, good air con, cleaned daily except Sundays and providing a huge number of useful towels. They also have a large balcony where you can eat or have a drink while enjoying a splendid sea view with mountains in the background. Plus your own garden of olive and lemon trees, where you can even pick up some fruits.
After all, we find this property strangely and way under rated, by the owner himself (who, by the way, is an extremely nice young man of 73 y.o.), and also by some weird-tasted or simply grouchy visitors.

Highly under rated

The hotel is a good base for visiting the area, you can quickly get to Mycenae, Epidaurus or Naples. There is also a nice swimming pool and the beach is a few minutes walk away. The hotel is quiet because it is a little far from the seafront where most restaurants are located. The rooms are spacious and clean.

Good foundation

The hotel is a family-friendly, staff friendly, partly Russian-speaking. The hotel has a pretty decent deep pool. To the sea - 5 minutes on foot (and the beach in Tolo - one of the best in mainland Greece: a long sandy, large strip of freshwater - ideal for a vacation with children). Generally speaking, the bungalow (especially small bungalows) is well booked for children, but there are also 3 restaurants and shops on the beach, but there are no cars to go to. There are also a number of restaurants and shops.

Comfortable, secluded bungalows on a hill above Tolo

I stayed in this residence in August with my family and we had a great time together. accommodating apartment overlooking the beautiful bay of Tolo, daily cleaning and towel change included in the price, swimming pool with beds always available, services and archaeological sites within walking distance.

A good structure

The owner has a couple of hotels in Tolon and we've stayed in one of them 'hotel Phaistos'. On the same hill you can rent an appartment which is basic and which provides you a nice view on the sea. You can walk easy to the beach on your flip-flops or you can stay in the clean pool at the hotel.

family business

Very basic hotel. Right at the start of the tourist season -around Easter- there was still a lot of fixing to do (water pressure in showers, phone lines, poor wifi connection) We had been told the room would give on the pool. It didn't. And it was.... empty anyways. Real disappointment. If you get a dead cheap deal on your room, grab it (after all you are 10 minutes away from the beach) otherwise stay away.

Super basic

The hotel is quiet and clean. The rooms are equipped with small fridges and air conditioning. Each room has a small terrace overlooking the pool. The pool is not exceptional but refreshing! Breakfast is nice and can be taken under the olive trees accompanied by the singing of the chicago! The location of this hotel is perfect a little further from the center. A few minutes from the beach, I recommend Gilles' restaurant. The boss speaks French!

Quiet hotel

You arrive at noon, the entrance to the hotel is closed, you turn around the pool wonderful beds indoor hall everything seems ready for an inauguration but in reality there is no one and you say now what I do?
