We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and were very excited! The room and the rest of the hotel were very clean! There was a climate in the room and the beds were very comfortable! For breakfast there was a buffet and there was enough for everyone! The location is perfect! 1-2 minutes to walk to the beach! We will surely come back!

It's good to be back.

So friendly staff! They worked hard to satisfy us, and they relay made it. Nice little bar and fantastic good Hungarian food.
Very clean and tidy rooms. Nice beds.
Close to the lake and everything. Beautiful walks around the town.
And if you can and will take a massage. The massage is the best I ever had.

Friendly staff at a beutiful Hungarian place

The building is magnificient. It has the old charm and named after the famous Hungarian singer Blaha Lujza. The small street around and coffee shops are cute. Very close to Lake Balaton only 200meters. 

The breakfast is continental and great selection. 

Rooms are smaller but comfortable. Bathrooms are clean. 

Stuff are friendly. Special thanks to Mr Zoltan who is so kind.

Charming, loving and it has soul from the old world!

We wanted to try a new restaurant in Balatonfüred again, which in hindsight, unfortunately, should not have turned out to be the best choice. The restaurant itself, I think, is quite exciting because of the 80s flair. Unfortunately, the food was nothing special and the basics were not even met. The meat was too dry, noodles cooked, salad difficult to define, every dish was decorated with a lot of pastries.

Really liked that the hotel is small and like a family business. However the room is not too big, but who is going to Balaton, only wants to sleep there, and for this it's perfect. The staff is really nice, the breakfast was delicious and more than enough. This was the second time there but not the last one. 

Good hotel for a quite holiday

My family stayed at Hotel Blaha Lujza for two nights in mid-June. It is a very small, old hotel but our experience was great! The rooms are tiny, but very clean and the ones we were in had great natural light and air conditioning. We got the sense it was a family run hotel and they tried very hard to make our experience enjoyable. We were a little nervous when we checked in, the hotel is old, rooms were quite small (in the twin room there is not much more room than the bed and desk) and felt empty because we came before peak season. We were pleasantly surprised! The service was great, the staff didn't speak much English, but were very happy to help when our AC wasn't working. They provided a lovely breakfast buffet in the dining room each morning and you can eat outside and enjoy the weather. The location is great! Very close proximity to the water and the row of restaurants, cafes, etc. I would not recommend this hotel if you are looking for something luxurious and want to spend a lot of time in your room, but if you just would like a place to sleep for a cheap price this hotel is great!

Quaint, family run hotel!

Stay here only if you really have to. Mouldy smell everywhere, small extremely uncomfortable beds, close to nothing bedding, old but not nice furniture, not to mention bathroom. Location is nice but that's all there is.

Overrated, mouldy...

The ventilator, due to lack of space, lay on the ground. The double bed was composed of two single mattresses resting on a single net. Not even the sheets were single, but those, consistent, of two single beds placed side by side. Very old mattresses. Cleanliness nonexistent. Very small bathroom, without accessories (only a half-bottle of plastic was visibly used for quite some time and without a brand of liquid), without any excretion and even without any excretion.
