We've been here for 3 days. It's in the middle of nowhere, it's a good place to stay, you don't have to pay for transportation. There's also a bus stop nearby to get to the airport. You can walk anywhere. There's plenty of places to eat breakfast and dinner. There's a market nearby if you want to buy food and cook.

That's good.

The room has everything it has, a bed and a mirror, and if you're not too demanding it can be worth it.The 3 bathrooms (shared) are acceptable, good cleanliness.The worst is a third without an elevator with a winding staircase.I wouldn't mind repeating but there are probably better options.

Absolutely awful customer service, very unacommodating and not very hospitable for a hospitality business. Do yourself a favour and take your money elsewhere. I’m sure there are much better places in Budapest where your custom will be more appreciated.

No customer service

The receptionist was rude at check in. And in the following two days there were noone in the reception, and we couldnt get in contact with them via phone and they had no e-mail... The room was alright, although we got woken up every morning because the building is being rebuilt/renovated.

Bad service, ok room

Good to know:
- Only cash
- No towels in bathroom but in rooms
- Noice from rebuilding outside (mid-july and properly for months ahead)
The receptionist was kind a rude and slammed the door in our faces outside the hostel entrance because she had to take care of something first (?) When we asked to see the room, only one of us was lead inside and she slammed the door once again to the others face.
We haven't seen any receptionist since Chek in. We can't get in contact with them on writing and the phone is always unavailable. There are no lightballs in bed lamps and there is a fridge in the room out of order.
The room is fine and the bed is comfy. Kitchen facilities okay. Bathroom clean but you must bring towel from room. Overall a good room but crappy non-existence service. So make sure you've got everything the moment you chek in! 

Not the best but OK rooms 

If you dont mind dusty corners and bathrooms that looked like they haven’t been cleaned in a while this place will work. It’s externally central and well located, both close to the river and the city center, but the room wasn’t good. Neither was the “kitchen”. 
The staff was kind of nice and it was spacious, it just looked like someone forgot to take care of everything indoors.

Dirty but central

We used accommodation only to sleep and shower there and price was really nice...Building is under reconstruction and this fact was in confirmation of our reservation. There was dust everywhere. Room wasn´t properly cleaned - floor wasn ´t  wiped out, dust on the table, fridge was just disgusting and closet was full of pillows and blankets which means no space for your clothes and mirror was very dirty. Moths were in our room... Bathroom and toilet could use proper cleaning..

Location of accommodation is just perfect. Staff was very nice and we had no problems wit check in or out. WiFi works good and bed was really comfy.

Budget accommodation in the city centre

City Rooms is a lovely hostel located near central Budapest. Our train ran late when we arrived but the lady stayed a bit longer to wait for us after we texted the place, and we were so grateful. Thank you so much! It's easy to walk around or catch the metro to get to wherever you need to go. Very affordable and clean rooms, and very comfortable and quiet as well. 
You have to ascend a rather derelict staircase (be prepared to haul your heavy things!) but the place itself is neat and nice, and its well worth it! Would stay again.

Great location, and incredibly nice staff

Hostel located a few steps from the Ferenciek tere metro station, from which you can reach virtually every area of the city, and from the bus stop. The rooms are beautiful and clean, with 3 common bathrooms including a shower. The owner is really available and friendly, ready to meet your every request. There is also a small kitchen with oven and microwave. The only negative side is, unfortunately, the lack of air conditioning, which, in a season like summer, makes it practically impossible for me to sleep due to humidity and heat.

Excellent location

The hostel is conveniently located close to everything (bar, city centre, restaurant, currency exchange, tourist spot, breakfast), the room is nice, clean, large, with plenty of storage, but the cleanliness of the toilets makes it desirable.
