The hotel is located literally on the lakeside. If you have a middle room in the back  then you have a nice view to the lake, otherwise the side rooms are quite small and dark, despite the large windows. The deco is outdated, but fairly clean. The hosts are lovely and the place is dog friendly which is great! The food was really nice as well. 
We struggled with the internet every day and mostly just gave up...
All in all the value and price ratio is a bit unbalanced as it is quite expensive for what it is.

Good Location

The hotel is situated maybe 15 minutes by walk from the "center" of Zamardi but on the beginning of Zamardi when you go there by highway. You may park your car on the side of the main road or inside the hotel garden where is 7 parking places. In hotel garden there is small swimming pool, jakuzzi, several tables with chairs. In the other part of hotel garden there is small garden with sunbeds and entrance to Balaton lake. Balaton lake is very muddy and shallow almost 400 meters from the shore. It is good for kids but not for swimmers. The hotel itself has friendly and old personnel. The food there is good but small portions for the price which is very high when you compare it with other local restaurants there. Breakfast which are included in the price of the room is terrible.You may choose yogurt, sandwich and salami. That is all you may choose every morning. The interior of hotel looks oldish and you may smell fust in the hotel all the time. Rooms have a balcony which is good but the smoking is prohibited in the hotel. Room had air-condition, TV and refrigerator which was not cooling because it was like a cooler on your PC. In the bathroom there was hair drier and so much useless items that you were almost not able to go to toilet. The worst thing in the hotel was its room service. I was there for four days but nobody from the hotel personnel was there to change towels, empty garbage or neither clean shower nor the room itself. If you will be so lucky as I was maybe you will find items and dirt from the quests of the hotel that were there before you. It depends on you if you will try it or not. And I almost forget that the hotel has wifi but nobody knows (including personnel) when and how it works.Sometimes it works good somewhere.
