The stay at Lay Day was great! The hostel was very clean and the staff was incredibly nice! Lay Day has a great atmosphere and made me feel at home straight away. It is the perfect place to meet new people. Overall I had a very nice experience!!!!

Stay was great!

The place was great! Very clean and the staff was super nice! They did an awesome job and made me feel right at home. The private rooms were great cuz they were close to the main stay area where people were hanging out. It was a great place to meet people as well! Super fun!

Great Spot!

Best hostel experience ever. The staff are super friendly and welcoming and so much fun. Jim was amazing and I couldn’t have asked for a better host!   The pub crawl hosted by Lay Day staff was one of the best nights along with the pool party. If you’re keen for a good time definitely recommend Lay Day.

Best hostel in Canggu

Our stay here was so lovely! The staff were super friendly and welcoming, which created an awesome environment. We felt very safe and staff were helpful when we needed it! Bonus shout out to Jim who was the absolute life of the party and made our hostel stay even better! 

Great craic! Fun Pub crawl we were taken by bus from bar to bar and given a T-shirt , sociable hostel. Rooms were clean and air con was good. There’s 3 pools! Wish we had a pool table though.
The staff are so welcoming and fun especially Erick. I will be back ❤️

Fun Sociable Hostel

Really depends on what you are looking for… I was glad I stayed in a hostel so that I could make friends and be social. There are always people hanging out in the pool area / bar area, especially at night, so it's easy to find people to do things with throughout Canggu. However, this is a REALLY big party hostel, so make sure that’s what you’re interested in. The rooms aren’t fantastic but if you just want to drink and lounge in the pool then you probably won’t mind. I booked a private villa and the room was fine, but there were a lot of stains on the bed/walls/etc. Furthermore, the security wasn't great. The area with the villas was completely open/unlocked, and the lock on my door wasn't secure. So, it really depends on what you are looking for. If you want to make friends and party, I think this is still a great place to do that. However, if you're looking for something more relaxing/comfortable, maybe continue to research.

Party Hostel

Best hostel for solo travellers in Canggu. I just wanted to stay for two nights to meet people but I got so good with team and the owners that I kept coming back for a few days. There's a lot of party here which is scary for many but when you book the 4 dorms or private rooms you have like a small private villa with private pool and not too many people. You can cook together here or just enjoy a relaxed evening. The 6 bed rooms are not so luxurious which is not to be expected for the price either.

The best hostel in Canggu

The outdoor area is beautiful with 2 pools and a nice bar, the staff is very nice and helpful, the place gets very social at night, good for people who want to party a lot, location is okay - you will need to take a scooter to the beach

Ideal hostel to meet people

Really loved my stay here. The hostel has really chill vibes, you could spend the entire day just hanging out by the pool. It's real easy to make friends, and the staff makes sure that everyone is having a great time. Free barbecue on Fridays which was awesome.  Don't worry about the humidity, the dorm rooms have AC.  Highly recommended in the Canggu area in Bali.

Awesome Vibes All Around!

I am a solo traveler and I really hoped to meet new people during my dream holiday in Bali!

I booked a private room in one if the villas the hostel has. The room was just perfect: cute, simple, clean. Hot water was always there, ac was working perfectly and the atmosphere in the villas was quiet and relaxing.

But what made everything special was all the staff and the other guests in this hostel!

Since I checked in I felt warmly welcomed! I remember, there was Gigi at the reception!:)

Everytime I was coming back to the hostel and I was stopping by the bar, the staff was always ready to engage nice and fun conversations and made sure everyone was having a good time!

I met so many new people in this hostel and at no stages I felt alone or bored!
I had so much fun and every day I was looking forward to coming back to the hostel, get ready and meet everyone at the bar!

The atmosphere was simply amazing, friendly, fun!

I am definitely coming back next time I will be in Bali!

So, solo travelers or not,  just book your stay here and let the fun begin! You are going to love it and you will create so many beautiful memories!
