We were at Mrs. Gigliola's place this weekend with a couple of friends. Location carina, a master's house beneath which there is a large portico there I imagine the name of the place, 5 rooms a restaurant and a small pool. Cost per night 130 euros with breakfast. All in all, little by little. Problems: at 7.30/7.50 the lady and her collaborators start the business and call out loud, in front of the guest rooms. Either you wake up or you wake up.

It's a shame.

We have tasted both meat and fish, both delicious. tasty seafood pies, cold and fresh octopus, squid with delicate chickens and good fries. As for the raw flavored meat (especially those based on pork) and generous portions.

Nice atmosphere, simple and rural, very delicious food, especially the salad plate and ham from the region, the daytime snacks with Ragout de Cinghiale and Cinghiale al Cassiatore, the fish with potatoes, plus ratatouille and also the potatoes were great. The desserts looked great too - but unfortunately we couldn't make it. Friendly fast service. English works. Price/performance fits. Come back.

This agriturismo is immersed in a setting of splendid tranquility, olive groves, on the slopes of the medieval complex of Capalbio. Strategic to visit the most characteristic places of the Argentario. Mrs. Gigliola is welcoming, friendly and available. The rooms are complete with all amenities, breakfast is superlative (fresh homemade sweets that vary every morning). We also tried the restaurant for dinner finding the right balance between taste, tradition and typical products of the place. Super recommended!

A Romantic Refuge

The people that run this place are very nice; the place itself is not very special. If you need to stop for the night somewhere around there it is fine and  economically priced.  There is a small swimming pool and the breakfast is passable.

I stayed three days with my husband at the Portico. The owner, Mrs. Gigliola, is really super. Her courtesy and availability make the farmhouse a perfect spot.

With the best food in Tuscany, we've been there for the second time and we're always thrilled with the food and the super service, even though we don't speak Italian, we get along with the waiter who speaks English.

On the 23rd of August I booked a table for 6 people at the The Fork for dinner to celebrate my wife's birthday. We arrive we are shown the table, in the patio area at the entrance to the local garden side. The position is a little narrow, but okay, we think initially. The table positioned for the long part on one side, almost in the arms of other guests, on the other side with the chairs that looked on the garden at the foot of the staircase. Let's note the disguise and the inability to sit for security reasons, we were shown by the service provider that the conditions were all those, who would have listened to the headline.

How Not to Take a Place

Excellent location, just outside Capalbio and close to the Argentario park. Family management, very courteous and welcoming owners. Excellent breakfast thanks to the delicious sweets prepared by the owner. Comfortable and clean rooms with direct access to the garden shared with the other rooms and pool. Very good food in the attached restaurant. We were really very good.

Easter in Tuscany

Great location and great service, I'd give you a better score, but the apartment was very dated (old furniture and not very well furnished kitchen) the price was a little too high for what was being proposed, despite the nice context.
