Nice and clean location, but too expensive for lack of services, extra swimming pool for a fee, country resort with only four rooms. Too bad.

Not in line with expectations

It was a wonderful discovery. I was just having dinner with friends. The location in the middle of the olive trees is beautiful and the choice offered by the card is excellent, all the dishes ordered were satisfied. The service is good although a little slow but the staff is very kind.

A lovely evening with friends

I emphasize that the structure is very beautiful immersed in vineyards and olive groves, pool with view of the hills, relaxing atmosphere. Everything is neutralized by non-existent service and rude features. When I arrive no one welcomes you to deliver the keys to the room, the owners absent during the day. Very high prices for everything. It is an agriturismo/country house but with prices from 4 stars or Relais. That attempt to behave in a luxurious niche without having the skills in management. High prices for everything. During the stay I requested exceptionally 1 sheet and this was charged to me at an extra cost of 15€ making me, fortunately, not have been charged the extra cost of changing the sheet, if the basic services of the room were to be paid, but I have lost the ability to manage.

Big disappointment

I'd call it a voring but I can't  and I'll explain why. The location is wonderful: from the garden with the tables with the right lights like the colors and the combinations, in perfect Capalbiese style, very suggestive of the pool, but the restaurant is a dry NO. Dishes presented without any taste or style, snacks and firsts without emphasis, meat (little one I took) sent back twice (25€), idem the steak of the neighbors table (weight of course, from 80€h), portions of small vegetables (8€), 14 minutes to have the beans and for a fruit (a fish!).

So much appearance, no substance.

I have been in this wonderful place for only one night, passing through. I fell in love with it. Immerse in nature, among the Tuscan hills, it allows to eat in a unique atmosphere. The dishes are prepared very carefully by the precious hands of Elena, the owner, and served by very kind waiters. The quality of the raw materials is superb. The wine is excellent. The oil is very good (possibility of tasting their oils: if you are not from the fatella area, it deserves it). In addition to the food there is the possibility of staying. Beautiful rooms, well furnished, well maintained and equipped with every comfort. Pool with views of the hills.

I'm voting for you!

A very pleasant evening among the olive trees, very interesting and tasty menus, very good wines, I personally tasted the fried calf and the nuts, very appreciated the goddess.

A pleasant discovery

It's a nice place, but there are so many details to improve, especially at breakfast. To get back at these prices, we'd have to find a new culinary proposition and better maintenance. It's a shame we couldn't use the swimming pool, minimal but really nice: for most of the stay unusable.

To be improved

Wonderful country house: 4 rooms in total, which is why there is silence and tranquility; our new room, tastefully furnished, very nice bathroom with really quality underwear. Beautiful saltwater swimming pool, at the fountain, from which you can admire wonderful sunsets on the Tuscan countryside. Elena is a very good cook and always available to dispense advice. Orangerie, restaurant area, really unique!

An oasis of peace and relaxation

A wonderful place, it seems to be catapulted inside the picture for the panorama that offers this beautiful country house, perfect, quiet rooms that guarantee privacy from the other guests, impeccable relaxation service given by the pool on the marshy countryside and the various massages that you can take advantage of both outdoors and in the next room, and then talk about the excellent cooked food by the mistress Elena.

Oasis of peace and food

We stayed at Macchiabuia for almost a week in June 2021 and enjoyed every moment to the fullest. Elena and Mauro are excellent hosts from the very first moment of contact to the last. The Agriturismo is nestled within the lovely Capalbio landscape; embedded within olive trees, vineyards, and fields. Yet, the town of Capalbio as well as the beautiful beaches can be reached easily within only a few minutes. Macchiabuia is a place of freedom and peace, offering the perfect setting to relax and enjoy. The apartments and rooms are well curated and cosy. The outdoor area, the swimming pool and its surroundings as well as the restaurant are simply breathtaking. Elena's dishes are unparalleled and overwhelmingly delicious. I can't wait to return!
