We stayed at Apartment Hydra the weekend before Easter. What a great location. It's a lot nicer staying independently in a 1-bed apartment than in a tiny hotel room and the prices are similar. You need to be prepared to go up a couple of flights of stairs to get to the apartment, and you also need to be prepared to find a supermarket and get whatever little necessities you are looking for - milk, shower gel, etc. This is often the way with self service apartments. But the benefits really outweigh any minor inconvenience. The apartment was spotless, the owners were very swift to reply helpfully to any questions, and the space was altogether very pleasant indeed. The whole experience was very smooth. I'd certainly recommend this place.

Excellent location, peaceful square, nice people running the place

The apartment is very well located, on the street of Fabri, a few minutes from the plaza San Marco y del Puente Rialto. The owner (Andrea) was very friendly, always attentive not only to arrival but also to what could be offered. The apartment has 4 bedrooms, 2 double beds, one with 2 single beds and a smaller room with a child's room. It has wifi, but only allows 3 connections at a time. The kitchen is generally well equipped, only a microwave is needed. It has 2 bathrooms, one small without shower and one complete with shower. The apartment was one of the negative points of the shower. It has a curtain that does not close well, and it is inevitable that the water will come out leaving everything impenetrable. Lastly, mention that it is located on the 4th floor, but only allows 3 connections at a time. The kitchen in general is well equipped, only a microwave is needed. It has 2 bathrooms, one small without shower and one complete with shower.

Mosaic apartment in Venice

We stayed in this apartment "lyra" for 3 nights with our three children. The apartment was clean and spacious. We were met as prearranged and taken to the apartment very quickly though the lanes that make up Venice. We were given a map and directions to a few places but I think they probably need a bit more tourist information inside the apartment such as how and where to find the grocery store. As others have mentioned it was a bit frustrating not having basic supplies provided as after 24 plus hours of travelling I would've loved to collapse and have a cup of tea! Felt very private when we were in the apartment and  we loved looking out onto the canal, gondolas and the square. The location was perfect and such a short walk to both Rialto and San Marcos square. When we were there, neither of the  television sets were working which was not a huge problem but would be frustrating if we had really wanted to watch something. 

First time in venice

Hydra is a a one bedroom apartment located off Calle de Fabbri - the main street connecting Rialto bridge area to St Marco Square - couldn't be more convenient.  The apartment sits off a back street and is very quiet.  You feel like you are living with the locals.  It is 3 floors up and overlooks a quiet courtyard.  The furnishings are simple, the bathroom is updated and rather large for a city apartment.  It was clean and comfortable.  The manager, Matilda, was very helpful.

Perfect Location

The owner was very helpful with the directions to the meeting point (Rialto) prior to our flight and during the trip from the airport. The apartment (Hydra) is excellent located near the S. Marco Square (only 2min walk). Despite the good location, it was not noisy at all. We didn't use the kitchen facilities, but it looked well-equipped. Payment could be done by credit card.
Since our flight was in the evening, they provided us a leaflet for the Venice Luggage Deposit, however, it was quite a puzzle to look for this, so perhaps it would have been better if the luggages could have been stored in the apartment (small storage room).. Overall, good experience with Venetian Atmosphere.

Great location, value for money

The first appreciation comes from the fact that when we arrived in Rialto we were taken to our apartment. Very pleasant furnishings and ideal location (two steps from St. Mark's Square). Good cleanliness and air conditioning.

Good value for money

We stayed at the Lyra apartment - which was located about 2 minutes from St Mark's Square, so cannot be beaten for location.  Apartment had pretty much everything you would need and expect - clean and in good condition.  Would have been nice to have some basics, like sugar and salt etc., but can't have everything.  Also it is up 3 flights of stairs, so be warned - this was a bit of a shock for my parents, but fine for me.  We were met at the waterbus station and shown to the apartment by Roberto, who was most friendly and helpful. Would recommend.

Felt like I was staying at Grans (in a good way!)

We stayed four of us in this beautiful apartment, for the bridge of May 1st, and I have to say that at first, the idea of the apartment was a bit boring to me: I thought I wouldn't have the comfort of the hotel and instead it was all perfect. Great staff organization, impeccable cleaning, and then it's just a few steps from St. Mark's Square. We slept on the couch and I have to say that to be a sofa bed, it was very comfortable. I recommend it to anyone who wants to spend a weekend with friends having fun and relaxing, all under one roof.

The apartment is very well situated, the place is very quiet and is within walking distance of everything, the quality/price ratio is excellent, as is the service, the staff was very attentive and polite.

Fabulously beautiful.

An excellent choice especially when traveling with two young children (2 and 4 years old) right in the middle of a Siberian cold wave!! A pleasure to be able to have breakfast and dinner as quietly as at home, with the heating well lit..Besides the location is perfect, only a 1min walk from San Marco and a 5mns walk from Rialto following the same street/street.The Lyra apartment (2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms+1 living room-kitchen) gives a private indoor patio and a street but being so close to San Marco is very quiet.Perhaps because the restaurant downstairs was closed but it is also not a very busy street.The apartment is very large and very cozy, the kitchen is well prepared for the holidays (neither are we going to prepare a rest party!!) although there is no doubt that there is a shortage of convenient amenities.The amenities and amenities of the hotel are guaranteed.The children have been waiting for a few days to make sure that they get a good taste of the apartment!
