We looked at the picture at Booking, we believed them, we paid three nights in advance. When we arrived, we found out that the room was cold, smelled of dampness, that the bedding was old, the pillows were torn. There was no one at the front desk, there was no front desk, the key was in the envelope. We spent the night, and then we started calling Emilio asking for the money back for the other two nights.

Never pay upfront at the Emeralds Palace.

The strength of this place is the very central location a few steps from the main tourist attractions. The structure is equipped with two shared bathrooms and a common room, in addition to the bedrooms with two or more beds.

Adaptive spirit and good position

Make the mistake of not looking for references here before booking. It's Pessimo!!!. Starting because the owner emails you when you're about to arrive asking where you are because your team (a woman who only speaks English and who is noticed to leave as soon as possible) is waiting for you. If the reception, theoretically, is until 7 pm, it shouldn't bother me to arrive at the time I want to and can. The building where it's the oldest, the hallway completely abandoned, looks like a horror movie. No one ever gets excited, the photos of the rooms don't sound real or the sound of when it opened. The walls are discolored, the room is open five blocks apart from the old light and the room is open for five blocks apart from the old one without any fear of anything else!!!! There's nothing left to me, no one has the height of the door, no one has the security, no one has the security, no one has the ability to lock me up, no one has the security, no one has the ability to lock me up, no one has the security, no

I wouldn't recommend it to anyone!

I've never seen anything worse The photos and descriptions on the internet and on the various platforms (Booking.com, etc) do NOT match the reality in any way The owner is aggressively not perceptive and a criminal extortionist The rooms can't be partially blocked The toilets and bathrooms are indescribably dirty The owner feels this as normal I can advise everyone to avoid this  Accommodation This property has only negative reviews on various forums It is therefore unclear to me why this property is still not blocked by others we TripAdvisor and similar This property has been defined as a new horror FINGER WAY!!!!!!!!

It can 't get any worse.

The location is really good but this was the only one good point. The apartment is dirty, very poor furnished and doesn’t worth its price. The owner doesn’t care about the comfort of the guests. If you are not satisfied with the service it doesn’t matter - there is anyway plenty of other tourists who come to Venice every day.
We booked a triple room with 3 separate beds (we are 3 women) but when we arrived we found 1 single bed and one double bed. With one thin blanket to share on it. This problem could be solved easily if we asked at the reception for an extra blanket. But there was nobody at the reception. Also the next day. We called to Emilio (the owner) and told him that it was very cold in the room and we can not sleep. The only «help» what we got was his genial advice: «You should open the windows and let the warm air in». Good idea. Especially at night when the temperature outside is +13 and the house surrounded by canals. 
A little bit about «facilities». The room was ugly, only 2 caps and 2 spoons (in a triple room). The blankets and pillows were very thin and old. It was an terrible night – we had to put towels (for the towels you pay extra) under the pillows to make them thicker and slept in the clothes because it was very cold.
In the morning we called to Emilio and said that the room was not acceptable for living and we were leaving. So we asked him in a friendly way to refund money for 2 nights (the room was booked for 3 nights and only 1 night we spent there). If he was a little bit interested in his reputation as a host he would come there at least and try to solve the problem. But he did not. And he did not returned the money. 
We did not want to spoil our short vacation in one of the most beautiful city in the world so we booked another apartment. That was great! It was for a little bit higher price but it was absolutely perfect – better location, clean, much-much bigger and with very helpful staff.
If you respect yourself and value your money and your time you should look for another place to stay – but not Emerlds Guesthouse. Venice is an amazing city!

Awful apartments and the worst service ever!!!

I was in this guest house a few days ago and found myself in a fantastic location just a few steps from downtown, a very large and clean structure Emilio was very nice to give us the best information to spend a nice weekend.

The Eighth Experience

cleaning is done every day in the bathrooms and rooms
  unfortunately there are only two bathrooms and not all guests have respect for the other guests in the commnuty areas.
Very central is far from rialto bridge
Emilio was very nice,.
for letting me check-in more than an hour's arrival by leaving the key in an envelope
I recommend it for those who want to spend chep price and sleep in the heart of Venice

Excellent: Quality / Price

We were delighted with the location of this accommodation. It is a 3 min walk from the Ca d'Oro (vaporetto) stop and may be 15 min from the Rialto Bridge. Nevertheless there was no electricity in one of the two available bathrooms, the accommodation is above a restaurant and a climate store (one farm opens late and the other opens early...) so the nights are short. Payment is only done in kind. We slept on a click in a room where there was a sink and an old toilet (on the booking site there is a photo where we can see that this room is actually refrigerated with a table at the end of the week...) these equipment were in a hotel (the one is late and the other opens early...) so the nights are short.

It's very convenient.

We decided to book this hotel and I had never booked it. When we arrived in Venice, we arrived at the hotel around 1:00 p.m. Assuming the place is not visible, since locked in a building of some era, called the Rose Palace, without any kind of sign. On the building there is a sheet with the hotel's name hardly printed on it. After three quarters of an hour with luggage to follow we find this place. At 13:10, we call and no one answers us. We call, and no one answers us, we leave the number on the billboard, and it turns out to be nonexistent.

Emilio is very hospitable and kind. The hotel is a hostel and not a Hilton. The building is in good condition, clean and equipped with surveillance cameras.
