Overall, excellent location not far from the station; the rooms are large and the place is quite clean and comfortable, the prices very good. Also appreciated is the presence of a personal closet, since the room booked was a female quadruple.

Very good for a night in Venice!

I stayed one night. Super attentive and very kind staff. Tablets in the bedrooms and you can leave your things after checking out. No breakfast included. Have a refrigerator and you can use the kitchen. There was no hot water when I left and the bathroom broke down. Super close to the train station and next to a vaporetto stop. A little difficult to get to but it's easy to get there 😁

I was staying there with my sister for 2 nights, I booked through hostel world, there was a lil bit problem when I made the booking, I put a wrong email so I couldn't get my booking confirmation, I paid in advanced some amount of money but anyway when I arrived they charged me whole price + tax,  I was asking an explanation why but the reception only can say "don't worry we will no over charged u" but the thing it was absolutely over charged... Well I didn't want to say anything anymore since it wasn't a lot of money, but anyway I wasn't feel pleasant since the reception wasn't that friendly

So I'm pressing that it's my first single hostel. Cmq I chose a women only sleeping place. As a point is strategic. I'm not even 10 minutes walk from the railway or St Lucia station. Obviously with Google maps. Cmq just before turning left is on the narrow alley. He opened up a very cordial guy. So here I left a piece of heart. 2 flaws.

My New Year's whore in solitary

I pictured most hostels as catering to college-age students. This one, at least the night I was there had a more mature clientele who was eager to make friends and go out in the city. Great for solo travel. Also the location on Venice’s central island can’t be beat for a hostel at its price point.

The building itself is old (it’s Venice, so that’s a given), but well maintained.

It’s a pretty small hostel - only a few rooms and probably 25 beds total.

Great for solo travel

I was travelling solo through Venice so naturally chose a hostel close to the station. The good; lovely chatty staff, perfect location, water views. The improvable; hot without air conditioning, chatty staff (after midnight), limited bathrooms.  It’s a simple place but the beds are comfortable and they have you covered for anything you need. And being a 5 min walk from the station is a major bonus so you don’t get lost or tired carrying suitcases! Would recommend for people on a budget :)

Good for the price

This is a lovely hostel in a beautiful location of Venice, fairly close to the train station and overlooking the water. The room I stayed in was large with single-size beds (not bunks). Unfortunately, the mattresses were cheap foam mattresses on squeaky old bedframes. A simple update to newer mattresses on firmer bedframes would go a long way. The two bathrooms had line-ups in the morning.
Apart from this, the hostel is lovely. The staff member was super-helpful and provided a list of things to do in Venice. The cost was reasonable for the location and the hostel was clean. I hope they improve the beds and mattresses: an improvement would be worth a slightly higher price.

Some small improvements would go a long way

This was my best hostel experience to date! I guess the people really made it. It's a small hostel so it's easy to get to know everyone quickly! The staff Marco & Nik absolutely made this place! Such great fun! I arrived at 10.30pm and the entire hostel were hitting the town! The hostel is clean, comfortable with great cooking facilities. There are limited bathrooms and toilets so there can be a bit of a wait Inthe mornings. It's not a modern hostel but it's in a fantastic location, right at the grand canal! With a taxi stop right there too. 5 minutes walk to the main station. Easy walk to the main food market n the morning. Shop nearby. You can easily walk all of Venice from here if you don't want to pay for a travel pass. It was so homely that I won't look anywhere else! It's expensive - but everywhere is expensive in Venice, and staying here cuts out transport costs and means you can wander the beautiful quiet streets of Venice late at night, quite the experience!!! Thanks for a fantastic stay 😀

Home from home!

near to train station, if you know the place 10 mins of less you'll find the hostel.it is situated in front of the canal and water vaparetto station is just outside the hostel. 20mins walk to piazzale marco. you can leave your luggage if you arrive early before check in or after check out. it's clean and spacious. they were very helpful as well when i was exchanging emails with them a week prior my arrival.

beautiful and tidy

I stayed at L'Imbarcadero January 25 -27, 2018. It was one of the best experience I have had in a hostel. Samereh (Sami), Monica and Olivia were so welcoming an kind. They made me feel as if I was at my house. In the kitchen we were able to make our food, we drank tea and talked in the common area. The whole hostel was immaculate. The rooms were also so cozy. You did not get the feeling that you were staying in a hostel, in a good way! I loved this hostel so much that I want to keep it a secret so it's charm stays. Love love loved this hostel!
