We went to Montego Bay for 3 weeks, so we rented a house for our stay. We found it online and seen picture and it was pretty low in price. When we arrived in MoBay we went to the house and the pictures were showed only part of the place. The rest of the place a under construction and the two rooms we could use were dusty and smelled of mildew. We left and stayed with my mother in-law for two days and then went to the View. It was not great, but it was ok and Nicki took care of us. The room was not nothing to write home about, but it was in an area close to everything. If you know the cab system or lack of system, you can get around really cheap. We went to the beach several times and it cost us about $3 (and I didn't forget a 0) We went to the pay beach, so we would catch a cab over to KFC and the walk about a quarter mile to the beach. It was me, my wife and two kids (9 and 3), we did not have a problem with the walk. We never paid more than a few dollars to get around. Change your money over two Jamaican money and never give them foreign money as they will charge you way more (kids under 4 are free, over that they are $50 and adults are $100 Jamaican for cabs). Our internet went out and Nicki moved us to another room and I was able to download shows to watch at 5Mbs. After the first day our AC went out and again she said we can move to another room, but we didn't feel like moving our bags again, so she sent someone up to move them for us. Had a nice pool, but it was about 90 degrees. She didn't know places close to get food from, but we talked to one of the housekeepers and she gave us some places that deliver there. Me and my son walked down to burger king and Tastee about 6 times, the hill coming back is killer, if it is really hot (be careful if it is really hot). Nicki spoke to us every morning and asked what was on the agenda for the day, talked and played with the kids. She gave us a very good price for the 10 days we stayed there. Nicki let us use the kitchen and we kept a cooler in the room with ice for drinks and anything that needed to be cooled. All in all, I would give it a 7 out of 10. We were not misled or lied to about the accommodations. The internet did go out when we were in certain parts of the building, mainly the corner of the 2nd floor. The place is nice, just done expect the JW when you go there and you will be fine.

Email confirmation states that the room was 100 us for two nights not including a 10% tax. When we arrived the owner changed it to a 34% tax?? A joke. The floors was so dirty your feet will be black, the rooms are not that dirty but there is nothing, a bed, a shelf and a broken woredrobe. We stayed in a room upstairs, the owner could not close the window ( not that she cared) and we could not sleep with the noise from the road. 
It adverts wifi everywhere - thats a lie, barely any wifi. 
We were offered to use the kitchen - dont! Is so dirty, the fridge is broken and you can borrow glasses at a fee ?? Owner could not recommend a restaurant nearby.
It owner is not at all welcoming, almost rude, and not at all helpfull. It will cost you 30 dollars to get to the beach and back.

There is not much difference between sleeping on a bench than this guest house.  The primary element of this house is a bar lounge area.  Rooms are a secondary  and are near the bar.  We arrived mid day.  They were cooking curried goat in a open air kitchen in the bar.  The smell was all over the place.  The rooms are on a short hallway leading off from this lounge.  They are sterile white with no hangers and stained sinks in the toilet.  We were told that this bar would be active, but were not told how active it would be on Friday evenings.  We came back early evening and patrons were arriving for the bar.  The music from the bar was so loud our room vibrated and our room was the farthest from the lounge.  There is minimal parking.  When we complained to the owner, he gave us back only half our room payment.  This is a place for those who require inexpensive (cheap) place to stay if too drunk to stagger away from the lounge.

The view is about a mile from Barnett St which lead down town and about 2 miles from the beaches. The location is great its in close proximity to the Airport, City center  and shops. The banks to exchange your dollars, and the restaurants is close to each and the staff is friendly and courteous,. The rooms  has AC and TV very clean hot water it was comfortable.

The best thing about this guesthouse is friendly staff. Rooms offer tv and ac. Kepping in mind overall jamaican standard, the rooms were fairly clean:-) unfortuneately no hot water in the shower. The 0lace offers a bar and a pool. Wifi avaiable in the bar and pool aream. It takes about 15 min walk to get there from mobay city centre, but the neighburhood felt pretty safe.
