Room with kitchenette and bathroom. Quite basic but comfortable. The nearest metro station is 10 minutes away and takes about half an hour's walk to Nishiki Market or Shinjo Street in the heart of Kyoto. There is a supermarket seven minutes from the apartment.

For those who like to walk

I stayed here for three nights with my boyfriend. We chose this apartment because it was one of the cheapest where to stay in Kyoto.
The apartment is very small (but this is normal in Japan)...the bathroom is very small too...but the very bad things are the beds! We had a bunk bed. It was really unconfortable and dirty. The mattress was very thin and under it there was just a wood table.
Wifi works properly.

Not so good

This little apartment is 10 minutes from the Imperial Palace and offers everything you need to cook your meal. The laundry machine is offered free of charge! Peter's reception and explanations are excellent! His English is very, very good!

A small apartment in Kyoto

Checking in required me to go to the second floor and call someone but because I had told them what time I was coming there was already someone waiting (even though I was an hour late).

The apartment was bigger than expected but the bathroom was tiny, it was nice and spacious with a small balcony. The downside was no wifi but they did have a LANs connection and no lift so I had to drag my suitcase up three flights of stairs.

There are supermarkets a couple of bus stops away and a Family Mart and 7/11 within walking distance.

The first thing I would like to note is:not exactly a standard settlement procedure!And that's exactly what surprised us the most when we arrived earlier, which is, of course, because of the Japanese punctuality, we're not there yet.In this case, you need to get up to the 2nd floor, there's a phone and a manager's number.You need to contact the hotel staff to warn you when you arrive because there's no reception there and the employee will be waiting for you there with the keys and a contract.But what surprised us the most when we arrived earlier is, of course, due to the Japanese punctuality, we're not there yet.
