It was a beautiful and relaxing stay. The pool area is like the deck of a ship, with panoramic views & feel of the Indian Ocean. The Indian Ocean  breeze is so calming & rejuvenating, and the beautiful old trees by the pool area protects you from the damaging effects of the sun's UVA/UVBs. The owner, Pepo & manager, Imran, made us feel at home, and in the company of good family friends. Our Chefs and cottage host, Charles, Hamisi and Gift went an extra mile to make our breakfasts, dinners and entire stay and experience, an unforgettable one; feeling sad to leave, while longing to come back again and again. We recommend everyone to experience the Kusini cottages effect!

Wonderful stay at Kusini Beach Cottages!

We were very excited about our time at Kusini cottages. We had been looking forward to it for ages, having had to change our plans a few times due to COVID.

And it really did not disappoint....... we had a lovely time..... really well-designed cottages...... amazing location on the beach.... great to hear the waves breaking as you drift off to sleep.

The apartments were reasonably basic, but really well designed considering you were on a beach. nice size sitting area and outdoor area, and the rooms were comfortable. Tiled throughout, for easy sand removal. The kitchen was organized, with most things any cook would want. The place was light and breezy and a place we could really disconnect.

Pepo, the owner, that is often mentioned in other reviews, was great. Very personable approach. Really feel that he believes in the place that he has set up and, that type of tourism. Was great via email, all the way throughout, always responding quickly to inquiries.

One tip I would really recommend is taking the advice of your chef about what to cook etc.  At first, we suggested some meals, but by far the better ones were when he came up with different options and cooked to his strengths. 

We also had a few issues trying to get hold of fresh seafood. There were some really strong winds, that stopped a lot of boats from going out. We bought some seafood from the guys that bring it around, but what they had was limited. Towards the end, I realized that a short walk up the beach in the morning would take me to a local fisherman market, then I would have checked there more often.

great time - relaxing

We stayed in two different cottages for 12 days in March and we felt very comfortable. The relatively simple cottages we stayed in have a bedroom, living room, bathroom and kitchen, plus a large terrace with sea view. What is special is the included price of our own cook, who prepared breakfast and dinner for us fresh and also helped us partly in the shopping. We also liked the swimming pool directly to the beach. But in the complex there are also large apartments with several bedrooms and private bathrooms and suites. Our landlord Pepo is local and always helpful and kind. We would always book the Kusini Beach Cottages again.

Nice accommodation in great condition

This place is exactly what we were looking for. The cottages are spacious (we were lucky to be in the large cottage in front of the sea!), The decoration is really neat, everywhere statues, games, furniture chosen with great care. The bedding is exceptional. The large sofas, indoor and outdoor, allow you to spend delicious moments. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. Space for everyone. In addition we had a chef at home and a butler: very significant! the entire team on site is helpful, discreet and attentive. We felt at home from start to finish. The pool is really great: We are right on the beach.

Amazing place! Heavenly place! Just perfect to relax, and enjoy!

These cottages are excellent especially for couples and family holidays. It is quiet and peaceful with a wonderful white sand beach and minus hustle from the beach-boys. The pool is on a platform that looks out onto the ocean front. It has a baby pool, shallow end and a 3 metre deep end. The beach has a long sandy shallow with gentle waves and a constant cool breeze... so you don't even feel the extremes of the midday sun. This is that peaceful paradise you've always dreamt of getting away to... ah, and it is a 'no shoes zone', fine sand from your cottage to the pool, then a few steps onto the sandy beach for a dip in the Indian Ocean.

Fabulous Family Cottages with the Pool & Beach a few Feet from the Cottage

Everything! The beautiful apartments we're well located in a quiet area. The private chef catering to all my dietary requirements (vegetarian). But the highlight has to be the morning sunrises that are out of this world. The owner (Pepo) & manager (Zero) looked after me and gave us the best advice on how to spend my time in Diani.

Excellent experience

We stayed in one of the suits, the room was clean and  big enough to accomodate 2-4 ppl. The place has service staff available. Yusuf was the service guy who was taking care of the cottage, very helpful and professional, Asante Yusuf

Great place to stay at

Fantastic! the place, the facilities, the good taste, the comfort, the service, the meals, all the amenities with the owner.... SUPER RECOMMENDED. We were a group of friends, two families and we were delighted. The beach is amazing, the water is fine, the sand is white and compact. In the hotel there are piraguas games that can be enjoyed free of charge, every day we were brought a variety of fish and seafood to choose from and the concerts prepared our meals. The cuisines are amazing. Everything is very clean and it is a paradise place.
