Outstanding accommodations. The staff here gets 7 stars! This is like my home. Highly recommended. The bed was comfortable, hot shower was blazing fast, near free CAT bus, shared kitchen, very clean facilities, free WI-FI, free drinking water.

Best hotel in Penang!

The room size was OK, just what you needed, came with bed, desk, chair and air con which worked well. The room didn't have any windows and the walls are thin, but I didn't find this to be a problem. Bathrooms were also OK. Host was really nice and helpful, the place seemed clean and the location was also OK. Enjoyed the stay and would stay again.

Would stay again

Visited as a couple and spend the extra money to have a private room which also had a shower. No sink or toilet is part of why this is good value for money - to pay for a full hotel room or private room with all the amenities would cost you much more money in this location. 

The room itself was spacious enough and suited our needs for our one night stay. The aircon probably needed regassing as it wasn't blowing very cold air, even set at 16 degrees. 

The front desk staff are very nice and friendly! 



Good value for money and great location

Small family guesthouse in the Chinatown, the reception is exceptional, empathetic and warm. Small air-conditioned room without windows but the small patio allows for relaxation. Large spacious and clean showers. Guesthouse located near the tourist district, close to the long-distance bus station and bus 204 for kek lok si and bus 201 for the national park. I highly recommend this place!

Staying at the WeLuv Travel Guesthouse four four nights was by far my best hostel experience ever. Clean rooms, towels, sheets and common-area bathrooms. The location is perfect for exploring old Georgetown. Greatest asset of the place is the staff: Jeffrey, Gary and friends were the most warm, welcoming and helpful hosts I’ve had the good luck to have known in all my years traveling - which is a lot!Their families having lived in Penang several generations, they know their magnificent little city and it’s history inside out, and are a pleasure to converse with about any number of topics. The settled nature of the neighborhood, the building and its generous hosts create a family vibe that makes it special. Loved my stay at We Luv Travel Guesthouse - and can’t wait to get back soon!

Comfortable rooms with air conditioning, an efficient staff, an unbeatable location near everything (Chinese neighborhood, Indian currency exchange neighborhood, Chulay Street) clean and pleasant to be here.

A guesthouse impeccable in every sense.

This hostel is very good value for money. The room is clean and comfortable and the aircon worked very well. The bathroom were clean and towels supplied. There is also a water filter with clean cold water to refill bottles which is a nice touch. I can’t comment on the communal kitchen as we didn’t use it. When we arrived the owner gave us a long talk about the history of the area and things to do which was nice but probably went on a little too long. This same owner could also be a bit abrupt at times which I didn’t like. For example: we came back to the hostel at about 10pm on our first day in Penang as we were tired after a long journey from KL by bus that morning. When we arrived back the owner commented on how early we had returned in a condescending tone,I found this to be very rude, quietly frankly it should not be his concern what time people wish to return to their room. His manner is why I am docking one star from my review.

Nice hostel, central Georgetown

We have rented a family room for four. Very large, close to the shower and very clean toilets. The reception is great: long explanation of the places to go, description of the good plans... If we go back to Penang, we will sleep again at Weluv travel Guesthouse.

Very good situation, fantastic reception

The strong side of hostel is, that at check in you receive the set of very useful information about places worth to see and history, Also avaliable free drink water . Rooms without windows, thin walls.
Shared bathroom and kitchen as on attached photos - disaster. I don't know from were such rating.
