PalanquInn Heritage Suites

George Town

We spent 3 nights in the Palanquinn Heritage Suite during our trip to Malaysia and were very satisfied. The rooms are very beautifully decorated according to the Heritage motto, the balcony and the view have a southern flair. The bathroom is on another Balcony which is however outwardly provided with multiple views and privacy is thus protected. From Palanquinn you can walk for 8 MYR with the tomb to the center of Georgetown. You can also walk the trail easily, but we didn't find the trail as very nice.

Optimal accommodation to explore George Town

We got a full score and absolute recommendation. We were lucky enough to book upstairs and have the whole first floor for us. A highlight is the bathroom, which is a balcony. The location is a little away from the hustle and bustle of George Town and very quiet, but very pleasant to sleep. With grave you can get for 8 MYR in the old town. The apartment was super clean and well maintained.

A dream

We were surprised by how lovely this place was. Used it only as a stop off before flying back and wish we had stayed longer. It was delightful to stay in a local style house after seeing so many throughout our stay as opposed to a modern hotel or hostel. It was simple and clean but beautiful and had everything we needed. The hosts even helped us organize a taxi for the early morning flight.

Not as close to the center as I thought, though, one of the coolest places I've ever been, the colonial style and the attention to detail is just amazing.

It's a crazy place!

We stayed for 3 days in the blue room above the reception. The room is spacious, air conditioned, flat screen, big bed. As soon as we arrived the manager advised us on tours, places and dishes to test (good short two steps away). For breakfast, it is advisable to go out to have a myriad of options. I would also advise you the space at the end of the street that makes exclusively bread with egg ( roti gegar) perfect to start a day. The bathroom is basic but I find the bathtub very original. The street where this Palanquin is found is only a street with a colonial house.

Excellent guest room to visit Penang

We stayed two nights in this hotel located 10 minutes from downtown Georges Town, on a quiet street lined with colonial houses. The reception was very warm. Our room, located in the house above the reception desk, was spacious, clean, and well equipped: flat screen TV, safe, large bed, air conditioning. The very nice bathroom with a large bathtub. We especially appreciated Jennifer's advice on visiting the city and the availability of Mufa. I recommend this hotel! Thank you! and very soon.

A pleasant stay in a colonial home

The +: --------- - Superb colonial house in very good condition located in a very nice very quiet street - adorable owner and very good advice to organize your visits to the island - very good breakfast - large and beautiful room with terrace (we were in the basement room) well equipped (climat, trunk, boiler, satellite TV, hi-fi channel...), furnished with old furniture of good taste - very large and beautiful bathroom - always room to park nearby (the parking is paid by day but it is enough to signal to the people who bill that you stay at the hotel and they charge directly for the hotel) The -: ---- - - - - - - - unfortunately I don't own a very large hotel nearby - the nightclub has a pretty expensive door - - but the hotel has a door in the center of Georgetown - - but I don't recommend a charity room for those who don't want to sleep nearby - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

What a lovely stay.

We spent a particularly dreary night in this hotel room, for the windows have no windows and it is a very busy street (motors, cars and trucks are at all hours of the night) The room is more summarised, at this point the more picturesque nest the toilets in one corner of the room are barely insulated: the shower occupies another corner with a simple curtain. The mattress is so hard that it held overnight. The little puppy has also kept his promises; egg yolks have bread with a bowl of curry and a glass of the most chemical fruit juice. For us it is more than ever at the rate of a comfortable hotel room!
