We have just checked in and it was easy and quick.  All the positive reviews are very accurate of this place and its owners, Chris and Cindy.  They are simply awesome.  We fall in love with this place as soon as we arrived.  It brings back memories of our old house and childhood.  My 93 year old Mother-in-law loves this place.  She is suffering from dementia and this place reminds her of her house in  Teluk Anson, it is just like this one.  God is so good that we found this place.  She feels very at home. 

It is true

Very welcoming staff, very pleasant communal parties, room too, even if we would have preferred a more comfortable bed and mattress... a little restricted hours of sleeping... well-placed, easy garage and good tips for visiting the area.

It's a nice place, a little bit of a return to colonial history.

This is a very beautiful, clean and neat house, despite it is full of antique and this is very interesting and can say, 90% of the house is antique

Like back to my parent house 35 years ago, but that time, we were not rich like this on that time, i feel so comfortable with this place, the bed is big and comfortable

The Breakfast is very nice, cook with quality and fresh raw food and mango, also the coffee taste so good

Antique House

I can see cottage's efforts on their breakfast, drink, room cleanliness, adequacy of toiletries and service quality. 

However, as the room had no ventilation system, it needed cold air to hydrate moisture (caused by shower) in the room. Due to the air conditioner in room Kunyit was not working properly (indifferent temperature between 16c or 28c), the room was moist and damp. Besides, wifi was often working, and unable to be connected frequently.

Conclusively, I will not revisit this inn again, but those who want to try nyonya-styled inn could give here a try.

Modern nyonya suite

I went to Melaka in a school trip, staying in Cyclamen Cottage for 5 nights, and it was an amazing experience because we occupied the whole cottage hence it was very casual and chill. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are in a big group because it makes it gives you more freedom and you don't have to dress formal all the time because you might be the only ones in the cottage at that time. The staff is very hospitable and helping, making is a very comfortable experience. 

Room advice: Take a room on the ground floor for easy accessibility to entrance and kitchen and not wanting to climb up and down every time (there is no lift). If you want peace, choose a room on the top floor. Don't choose 'Asam' as that's the noisiest.

A very peaceful and clean place, with a very helping staff

Came here for a school trip and it was a lovely experience. Had a very spacious room to share with only one other person, facilities were great and convenient, and had great sleeping quality. Overall, had a very pleasant stay with all my school mates in this historical location.

Peaceful Experience

The owners of the B&B are really very charming and willing to make the stay of their guests as pleasant as possible. The main house, and the annex, are very beautiful, in colonial style with period furniture. The gardens are superbly maintained. Our room in the annex was spacious and nicely furnished. The only small drawback lies in the location: the Cyclamen Cottage is about three kilometers from the city center. But we appreciated the calm and environment of this residential neighborhood.

Exceptional reception

If you want to spend a little and feel good, the Cyclamen is the place to be, it's a little corner of paradise, neat and clean, obviously we're talking about a modest target, but at the same cost and service, it's definitely the best choice, the lady is very nice and serves a great breakfast.

Travel to Malaysia

It's a wonderful and unique atmosphere. Almost like a cultural museum. Exceptional Malaysian snack. Large rooms. Good price ratio.

Three days and two nights in Melaka is too little. But we'll come back, it's on - and we'll always come back to the Cyclamen Cottage. We were very warmly welcomed there by Wendy who, from the beginning, had been very generous in answering our countless questions by email before we arrived. Cyclamen Cottage is a beautiful property, a beautifully restored old colonial house with a soul and a history. Luxury question we could even park our car inside, in the private cottage; but we tried everything in Europe... how to say more than excellent?... it was so much cleaner than cooking at home! :) One morning, while we were at the breakfast change, Wendy made us a nice lunch, but we had a lovely place to stay in the house! - We had to try everything we had to do with her. We had to make a nice tasting of the tea and ice cream, and then we had to ask Chris and Chris for a nice tasting of the cake and ice cream, and then we had to go around the house with them! - We had a nice tasting of the best
