Choosing a local Malta house for our  visit was the best decision ever, but Will Abela, who later became our friend, absolutely enriched our stay there.

His house is at the very center to everywhere, very clean and has a decoration of an excuisite taste. But above all, this experience is something you cannot simply buy with a credit card:))

I would definitely recommend Will's place for an unforgettable holiday in Malta.

Wanna go there again and again...

Location certainly very spectacular! fantastic and stylish! a particular and unique environment. exciting. In a beautiful palace will, the owner, managed to insert 5 apparent rooms each with its own stylistic theme. in fact if you go down to the detail we found some details not quite right. firstly when we arrived he warned us that the room that was intended for us had had a small problem so that a carpet was wet, and if we had wanted it would have changed it. unfortunately we did not expect the carpet would get into a bad smell, we thought that a nice day would be a nice smell, and so we had a nice smell in the room that was offered to the three of the rooms that were sitting in the bathroom and the bathroom.

We had chosen the host boutique experience because of the great reviews on Tripadvisor and our first experience was very positive. We had booked a taxi through the hotel and heard the owner check with the driver that he had found us.The owner was also there to greet us when we arrived and helped us carry the suitcases up the stairs which was nice as there is no elevator. However, the rest of our three nights' stay was rather disappointing. The a/c started rattling and dripping the first night which made it difficult to sleep. And although the owner had said he would meet us for breakfast the following day to explain what to see and how to get around Malta, he never turned up. We explained the problem with the a/c to the staff whose solution was to replace the wet  towel we had put under the the dripping air conditioner. And as the staff could not find the owner who was supposed to tell us about the area, and as they did not seem to know very much themselves, we asked if we could at least get a map. They did not have any maps either, so it was left to us to look for a hotel where we could get one. After a second night where we had to turn the air conditioner off so that we could sleep, we finally got to see the owner who then brought us a fan. Maybe we would have felt differently about hotel if we had not read the positive reviews, but as it was, we were not very impressed.

Cool decor, friendly owner but less than impressive  staff and quality

The Host Boutique Guesthouse is at the top of a hill above Balluta bay, when we first arrived we were put into the Chinese room, this was quite a small room and quite dark as there wasn’t any natural light let into the room and the staff at the guesthouse kindly moved us into the Africa room which was a lot lighter and larger. We used this as an ideal base to see the island so we only spent time here for sleeping on the large bed and for breakfast. We knew that there wasn’t a kettle, fridge or TV in any of the rooms but as Malta has so much for people to view we knew it was unlikely we wouldn’t have had time to use them. Breakfast was adequate although a bit of variety in the morning would be nice. 
Outside the guesthouse is a bus stop for getting into Valletta, and down the hill in Ballutta bay there are many more buses which run more frequently that will take you to your desired destination. 
Travellers tips: It is worth getting a weekly bus pass for 21 Euros as it gives you unlimited travel throughout the Islands of Malta and Gozo, also if you don’t want to get a bout from Sliema to Gozo you can get a bus to Cirkewwa and get a return ticket to and from Gozo on the car ferry for 4.65 Euros which cross about every 45 minutes. There is also an app (tallinja) for the bus routes and times.

Addequate accomodation

The Guest House (it's not a real hotel, but it doesn't matter) is in a beautiful old-fashioned building. The rooms are themed (we stayed in the Chinese room) and the staff is very friendly. In a few minutes' walk you can reach the premises of San Julian. The owner Will is very attentive and available. He gave us great advice on places of tourist interest and some straightforward tips on how to move around the island.

That's a good choice.

Will, the landlord, is a nice, open-minded person who will make you feel like an old friend who is being hosted.

What a lovely vacation.

This property is not a hotel, but a very nice and well-maintained b&b. Unfortunately, we do not know the reason, there is no indication of the structure and therefore need to be very careful and dare to knock on the door. It is located a few minutes from the centre of Sliema easily accessible on foot. The owner Will is friendly and reliable. On request he offers excellent advice to discover the corners of the island and uncover those posticini in the known only to the locals. We were in 4 and we had two rooms. One, on the ground floor, was very spacious and of design.

Hotel prices, but it's just a B&B.

We came back from 4 beautiful days of sea and heat today. We stayed 4 nights in this beautiful guest house that is aesthetically unmatched. We slept in the African room on the top floor (very quiet and I who am very difficult I slept really well). Get some light in as there are no balconies but only curtains but it wasn't a problem because we are always quick to get up early in the morning!!! The breakfast is very valid: it's 9:00 but if you want to anticipate it will, the owner will be willing to accept you. He gave us very useful information for our trips, ask Uni and he will live well!

Wedding anniversary and the kids at home!

We had a very good stay. The room is new, very large, air co, very large bed, balneo bath, separate toilet. tres nice house classee. wifi works very well. regarding the noise of the street, we noticed that all the streets of Malta are noisy, probably due to the poor quality of the roads and the noisy engines of old cars. the situation is ideal for visiting Valletta and the coast. Our hotel Will knows the area very well and gave us full information. Supermarket has 2 minutes, restaurant has 10 minutes; we dined at Picollo Padre 3 bus right away because excellent quality -price and tres beautiful view on the bay. to visit Valletta take the bus that stops in front and return with the ferry once a day for 1.5 euros.

Will is a very welcoming host listening to his visitors. He advised us on our Maltese escapades (visits, walks and restaurants). Very conscious of the well-being of his guests he prepared wonderful eggs for the dish. A guesthouse we recommend for its charm, calmness, perfect hospitality. But also for its price ratio. Thank you Will!
