It was a real surprise to find this little corner of the mountain bending an unusual curve. I intended to stay only one day and ended up staying three. Waking up to the magnificent mountain view every day made me wake up always with a smile on my face. Between the hospitality of the staff and the grandeur of the landscape, I ended up having the best days of a long trip. Thank you all and I look forward to coming back one day.

It's wonderful.

Our stay at the Caiat Refuge Lounge was pleasant on most plans. We were lucky enough to spend a night there at the beginning of the lunar month, and had a wonderful view of the starry sky. The view of the surrounding mountains is absolutely majestic. The staff is pleasant, flexible and hospitable. They are always listening and well acquainted with the competent guides in the area. And finally, the food is absolutely delicious! The only caveat would be the quality of the beds and mattresses. We found them a little too flexible, they didn't allow us to spend the necessary good night's sleep before and after a day of trekking.

Starry sky (zero light pollution)

A stunning view, a lovely service, wise tips on walking (with children and babies), a perfect location (much more interesting than being in Akshur), simple and comfortable rooms... The kind of addresses that you want to spend as much time with yourself as you want to share!

A heart attack

Nice accommodation, very nice view the shelter is on Oued Lao Road, nice clean, excellent cuisine. The group accommodation called Rif House is not very spacious for the number of beds available, the toilets and showers are outside.

Good location 6km from the falls

we visit Caiat refuge from Chefchaouan. Daniel picked us up from the parking of hotel Parador and drove us to his beautiful home in the mountains...once we were there, its felt like we were out of this world...so peaceful, so calm, fresh air, green mountains...beautiful cliffs...my kids were in love with this place...they immediately made friends with the dogs and the cat and were playing happily...the food was amazing and the people working there had the most kindest hearts and smiling faces. the rooms were beautiful and cozy..we had enough supply of wood to keep us warm through the night. the toilets were outside the room but it was not a problem...next day we walked up the mountains in akchour valley...we were with four kids age between 3-9 and some of the parts were impossible for us to hike..Mohammed our guide, understood our situation and instead of abandoning the hike, he took us back and went to the river through an easy trek. it was a beautiful relaxing day....i would go back there anytime...if i could afford it..as it was expensive for our budget :-).

wonderful place...amazing food and hospitality and breathtaking views

We had to deal with his assistants, who did not speak a word of French, English or Spanish, so we were left without the most basic communication until Daniel was at the refuge until our arrival. The place itself has charm, but the Pan room (a double bed, two simple beds) is very expensive for what it is (not for the vet, but a very small room with no light at all on the bed, which makes it impossible to read and confess the two dishes).

Very disappointed

We had a truly memorable experience.  We arranged the whole "package" with Daniel over the internet and he arranged for both the 2 night stays at Caiat and the trek with an experienced guide.
I can't really fault anything.  The location of Ciait, the food, the arrangements, the quality of the guide, the rooms.  Everything went like clockwork.
All I can say is - thank you Daniel and his staff (and Mohammed our guide) for a great trip.  We will always remember it.
Also the house "cats" are adorable!

4 nights including including 3 day trek in the rif mountains

A very nice little corner with a beautiful view, its small houses scattered in the nature are charming and a rustic side that I loved. The only small couac is the manager's approach to sell us a hike with unconvincing arguments, for this area it is not necessary to have a guide I was able to check it out. Then we were no longer interesting guests... damnedly also half pension is a bit excessive for the country but the possibility to cook it if you have your butagaz.

It's a beautiful place.

After a 12-day visit to Morocco, there is nothing better than being able to relax one last night in this mountain retreat with a wonderful view and a cleansing calm. Our room was fantastic and very characteristic. The staff, with whom we shared the adventures of our trip, are very hospitable and friendly. We felt at home. We recommended the visit.

An Excellent Refuge in the Mountain

We had the pleasure of spending 12 days in Caiat, we loved everything: the facilities, the surrounding area, the food, the friendliness of all the staff we lived with. An excellent area to explore, with various options for those who enjoy nature walks and waterfall diving. On your next trip to Morocco, Caiat will undoubtedly be a must stop!
