I’ve just returned from Essaouira after staying a week at  Riad Rose des Vent - FANTASTIC- I really miss them and I will return.
I travelled on my own and Asmaa, Mohammad and Fatima where wonderful in every way - it was a magical experience being with and looked after by such beautiful people.
The Riad is decorated beautifully, clean, great breakfast but the people make the experience second to none.
Great location (in Medina).
As another reviewer detailed and I feel the same - one of the best places I’ve ever stayed .
Don’t bother staying anywhere else - the Riad Rose des Vent is truly wonderful.

This Riyadh in the center of the Medina is a dream. The view from the top terrace over the city wall to the sea alone is worth a stay. Breakfast is good, rooms and bathrooms clean, staff very friendly.

Lovely Designed Rooms and Bathrooms

Excellent quality/price ratio (300 dirhams double room with breakfast). Very clean rooms. Good breakfast (bread, shell egg, msemen, jam, butter, chocolate bread, tea, coffee, fresh orange juice). The house is beautiful and the terrace overlooking the sea is extremely pleasant. Fouzia and Asma welcomed us very well. Thank you.

The Riad offers charming rooms decorated in Moroccan style and is extremely quiet. The room prices include an extensive breakfast. It is located in the pedestrian zone that covers the entire old town. Overall, a family atmosphere in a protected environment. All rooms are decorated in condemlakt, a Moroccan cleaning technique that uses only pure lime and is therefore well suited for many allergy sufferers.

Historic Riad with a phenomenal view of the Atlantic

We felt very comfortable in this rig. The rooms are very clean and traditionally decorated. The staff is always friendly, helpful and you never feel alone. The view from the roof terrace is indescribably beautiful. Besides, the location is very central and everything can be reached in a few minutes. We have already spent two great holidays there and will definitely come back and recommend this rig!:-)

A lovely family ride

We spent two nights in this beautiful family Riad. It is very tasty and you feel very comfortable with Jürgen and Asmaa. The breakfast was very good and sufficient. We were immediately helped with every concern (busket, restaurant tips...), and we were given fantastic advice. We will surely return to this wonderful city and to this dirty and beautiful Riad.

A very nice family ride.

A precious and quiet Riad on the outskirts of Essauira, but in a very quiet area.The room they offered us had a terrace for us.Genial stay, comfortable and very complete rooms.Excellent care and very charming location.

We arrived from Marrakech, harried and worn out.  We were warmly greeted and immediately helped to schedule a massage and hamman, to each of which we were kindly escorted to and enjoyed.  The room was just as pictured, though the Riad was actually prettier than the pictures!  plenty of hot water, very clean with Windows that gave a great ocean cross breeze, we slept like babies for 7 nights here! Asmaa, the co-owner really loves her country and finds ways to help you find this feeling too!
Breakfast was a selection of bread, butter, argon and almond spread, hard boiled egg, fresh squeezed oj and coffee or mint tea as you like.  Breakfast isn't easy to find in the souk, if you want something light but varied, so this was perfect.
I had an allergic reaction to some bad henna from Marrakech, Asmaa, the co-owner, right away insisted on taking me to a doctor, she wasn't happy with the first doctor so she took me to another.  Everyday she first checked on my arm and made sure the treatment was working.  It is important to note I didn't show her my wound nor did I seek help, she was soooooo concerned that she HAD to help make it better, and the treatment made a huge difference.  Both the medicine and her warm concern healed me rapidly.
The Riad has a nice terrace where you can sit and enjoy the view of the ocean and the classic winds of the city, we enjoyed it everyday.
This Riad has the graceful touch of a women, jasmine scented air, subtle decorations, nice colors and warm feeling.  There was always someone at the desk and often someone outside when we staggered home at 11pm, which was helpful as we always could use help unlocking the front door.
Location is wonderful, at the quiet end of what is one of the more fun streets in the souk, so you can descend into the fray of things and easily escape to the quiet of your Riad.  The walls are so thick, no noise from the street would penetrate, allowing sleep anytime of the day.

I highly recommend Asmaa, she makes this Riad home.  shokran bzzaf Asmaa, you helped us fall in love with your country.  We will certainly return here again, which is not something we often say as there are so many more places to see.

Beautiful hosts and Lovely Riad

We had a great stay at this riad. Very-well maintained, nice decoration, nice living room, terrace with a great ocean view (though it could benefit a windbreaker and some furniture to enjoy it more). The owner was nice and gave us lots of tips around the medina. A bit hard to find the first time, but still well-located, not too close to the main street so you avoid the noise at night.

An 18th-century house with very nice rooms. Family friendly with good breakfast and very hospitable. Suitable for individual travelers and groups alike. Right on the Atlantic with a great terrace.
