Residence for xenophobes

A very bad residence security personnel are very incompetent especially oneess he's not useful if you give him money or food he lets you come home without any problems to advise.

Three bad residences I would advise against

We had a very nice apartment with two bedrooms all very well decorated with a large terrace really unpaved staff warm and useful everything was very clean the pool is nice again and the p_ lunch very pleasant and well served we had an excellent stay and we will definitely return there

We spent two excellent weeks in this very quiet and well-maintained residence, a very spacious apartment, two bathrooms, large kitchen, near the squares and a shopping center.

Very good stay.

I was in Morocco for the first time and I was very lucky to stay in this beautiful place. All the Berber decor, the super friendly and attentive people with us, the swimming pools a delicacy and the great bar or restaurant. Very close to the Carrefour and a shopping center, full of brand-name shops, ah!! and the Pacha and other leisure sites. These are on the outskirts of Marrakech, but very close to the center, or taking a long walk, thanks to the Medina you don't have to miss.

The Paradise in Marrakech...

The Al Qantara residence is very quiet. The apartments are very spacious and pleasant: New Frontières has booked us a T3 with 2 bathrooms (we were 2 adults and 2 children). You can make your own kitchen (separate room) or choose a boarding house. Good cuisine with impeccable and friendly service. The Moroccan menu changes every 2 days or more often, which makes the meals varied. The architecture of the buildings is typical of the region. To visit Marrakech, you can very quickly find a taxi nearby. It takes you in 5 minutes to the city centre. An address to recommend to anyone who is not attracted by hotel clubs.

A very good stay in Marrakech.

The kitchen is poorly equipped, the cleaning service is limited; towels thrown on the edge of the bathroom were folded and put back in place, one day we left our pyjamas on the bed and found them picked up like dirt on the hairdresser. A small lunch with the strictest minimum. + A large breakdown of furniture in general.

Stay calm

As soon as we arrived I was concerned. We had a room with full kitchen, two bedrooms, two baths, dining room, living room and balcony.  The room had not been cleaned yet so we called the front desk and said we would go shopping nearby while they serviced the room.  When we came back the room had been serviced, but light bulbs were out and the hot water heater (located on a second balcony outside of the kitchen) was leaking water.  We called and asked for these items to be taken care of. The light bulbs were changed three days and three requests later.  The hot water heater was fixed two weeks and about 8 calls later.  The cleaning each day was not thorough, but they leave the towels and sheets folded in intricate patterns.  Holes in blankets and towels were scratchy.  Leg on couch was broken and when you sat on couch it would drop down.  Breakfast each morning was a joke. Serving utensils were forgotten almost daily and when we would speak with the manager he didn't seem to understand what needed to be done.  No feeling that they were anticipating our needs.  We had to request the same things over and over each morning.  The restaurant was not clean as it should have been either.  I don't think they have done a deep clean in quite some time.  
We had no option but to stay as we waited for our permanent housing to be available.

Ick!

We were let down on arrival at Marrakesh airport by the apartment we had booked and so had to quickly travel round to find somewhere to stay for the same budget. Al Qantara staff were very friendly, sympathetic and helped resolve our situation and offered two apartments. As there were six of us, all adults, and only 2 bedroom apartments they quickly furnished the lounge with another sofa bed and added the additional cutlery, plates, towels etc. We found the hotel complex very clean, the pool area well supervised by a lifeguard who was vigilent and the whole place was children friendly but had a relaxing ethos. Restaurant meals were well priced and very tasty and the taxi to inside the souk was between 30-50 dh.  Predominatly French and Morroccan visitors our English party was made to feel welcome and the staff communicated in English as well as French.  Housekeeping was daily and excellent. I am sure you would enjoy your stay.
