I recently had a two night stay in this Hotel. 

Cannot think of anything good to say.  No air-conditioning, tired rooms, dark and dingy, dull atmosphere. All round not a Hotel I will stay in again.

It needs a major amount of money spending on it for sure.

Not Good at All !!

The exterior looks to be painted recently. When we enter the lobby, there is the muggy smile. All lights are turn off except the reception desk. We were assigned to a room facing the street. We wiped the desk and our hand was black. The bathroom is dirty. The grout and bathtub are stained. No toilet paper holder. Air conditioning not working at all. A maintenance man took a light bulb from another room to replace a burnt out bulb. He did the same for my friends.My friends requested to change room but they have to settle for a better one after looking at two others. This hotel was chosen by a tour group. I would not stay at this hotel. Wifi is very weak.

The other reviews on TripAdvisor are in line with reality and describe a hotel drifting... and therefore to avoid.

Stayed here for one night in our tour trough Morocco. 
I had to change the room as at first i received one where the toilet was flooding and the window was not closing. check also the sockets, as in some rooms were not working to change your phone or photo battery. 
Room was ok, standard old furniture. Bathroom was a disappointment: only a soap and piece of shampoo, old bath, not well cleaned. 
The breakfast and dinner were rich enough to eat on your taste. 
3 minutes at left when exiting the hotel you find a small shop to buy water, cola, etc.

At most a 2 stars hotel.

I arrived in Rabat to attend an international conference in April 2018.Seemingly, half the world had the same idea since most hotels were booked and several delegates had been unexpectedly down graded to Oumlil.As my shuttle approached and I caught sight of the run down exterior and shabby facade, my heart sank.15 years of business travel has given me a '6th sense'about these things. I entered a dark , dingy lobby staffed by disinterested,scruffy valets. The receptionist made it clear that I would have to pay for my own breakfast  and that lunch was not available  for many more hours.I made my way to my room and found a dark, stuffy room with no working English channels, a grimey carpet , a bath that was so cracked and filithy that I never stepped into it, a sink that had no hot water and flooded the floor and a phone that did  not work even to call reception. a most alarming aspect of the hotel was that staff didn't knock but used their key to enter the room after one quick 'room service' enquiry. In terms of security and integrity, this is unacceptable. The first night at 23.00, I heard  a man call 'room service' from my slumber  and then enter my room.I screamed and he left. After complaining to the reception  about the situation the following morning, they informed me that they had  offered me fruits because if the poor breakfast. At 23.00 at night? They were unconcerned about the safety breach and the impropriety of coming into a woman's room at night. When I checked out, I was quasi detained by reception regarding my bill -which had been covered by my hosts-and delayed for nearly 30 minutes.There was no explanation or apology and what I can only call racist conduct on their part towards an African woman. NEVER to be repeated.A shame that all the hotels in the vicinity were fully booked.

Hotel not worth 4☆, unpleasant stay

April 2017, Exterior Very sad (in full Moroccan style) incredibly yet, the food is very varied and good, compared to other hotels, room room room 120 decent environment, poor cleaning I attach photos with cockroaches Vari!

The Imperial City.

The location of the hotel was a bit far from the center.The food was good, the most typical of the hotels I have visited in Morocco.The hotel was a bit noisy.Four stars seem to me excessive.

Hotel acceptable

Old hotel, dark in the new city, essential renovation work, a light bulb was missing on a bedside lamp, air conditioning was faulty, the window in our room was not closing.

Two nights at the OUMLIL Hotel

Unfortunately, I have stayed in worse places (in this continent). The structure and cleanliness are declining to the hygiene limit. If you take away the key, they don't rearrange the room!!! Little sound insulation. Breakfast in the middle. Volunteer staff. Very little Wifi (works only in the reception).
